From X to Eternity ✨with @bishopreis collaboration… Part of the Butterfly Exhibition! Children’s choir meet AI in real-time improvised encounters. 5 cameras captured every spontaneous moment as programmers coded live on set. The drone becomes director, the children become performers, the industrial space becomes stage. What starts as curiosity ends with an ancient song of peace. An inverted video game where AI moves humans, not the other way around. 12.-31.8 @wffbutterfly #FromXToEternity #ButterflyExhibition #AIArt #ContemporaryArt #Performance #Technology #ImprovisedCinema #geelong by @annewilson7705

Can AI take over the creative spirit? We just installed a whole exhibition about that question! The Familiar Unknown: Art in the Time of AI brings together pinhole photography, cyanotypes, printmaking, drawing and AI-driven works. Every work is made by a rule, and every label tells you what that rule is. Come and find them ✨ Curated by Anne Scott Wilson, with works by Aaron Hoffman, Anne Scott Wilson, Charmaine Macdonald, Ilona Jetmar, Irene Barberis, Kate Robertson, Kota Baba, Marjan Shams, Morganna Magee and Simon Grennan 📍 Deakin Library Exhibitions and Programs 🗓 Opening Monday 2 November Send this to the friend who has opinions about AI art! #AIArt #ContemporaryArt #MelbourneArt #ArtExhibition #printmaking by @annewilson7705
Unveiling the artworks of ‘Sensory Thresholds’, the artistic program of Geelong Fragrance Fair 2026. Featuring art, performance, and video/film, the program explores the connections between scent, place, and human experience. Curated for GFF by Marita Batna (@maritabatna), Creative Occupation (@creative_occupation), we are delighted to present four exciting artworks by creative practitioners connected to Geelong. Artist three -- Anne Scott Wilson 'Flush' Installation (single channel video projection, acrylic disc, dimensions variable), originally exhibited as part of 'Fugitive States', ACU gallery, Melbourne, 2023. "A circle of colour, a slowly turning acrylic disc, and the unseen movement of the air. Every so often, by chance, they fall perfectly in sync becoming a small dance between light and matter that no one choreographs. It's the same feeling I know from dancing: moved by a force you can't see." About the Artist Anne Scott Wilson’s work tests the thresholds of light, data and transcendence. Drawing from ballet’s exploration of transcendence through repetition, endurance, and physical commitment, Anne’s work delves into the paradox of inhabiting a physical body while yearning to surpass its limitations—confronting themes of mortality in the process. Whether working with video, AI, painting, installation, writing, or photography, she utilises the tools available to her with a sense of spontaneity. Play is central to her approach, characterised by embracing failure. Through this iterative process of making and experimentation, her ideas are gradually revealed, evolving organically into her art. Thrilled to have had the opportunity to speak at the NGV yesterday as part of the public lecture program for Women in Photography: A Legacy of Light.
I’m incredibly grateful for the generous feedback and for the chance to reflect on the remarkable contributions of the women artists whose work shaped this exhibition. Their innovation, resilience, and vision continue to create space for new voices in the 21st century. Deep thanks to everyone who attended, and to the communities, estates, and histories that make this ongoing conversation possible. #dorothealange #NGV 📸✨ by @annewilson7705
I’m thrilled to be speaking at tomorrow’s spotlight talks at the NGV! __________ To celebrate the opening of Women Photographers 1900–1975: A Legacy of Light, hear from NGV curators who will consider the relationships between art, gender, technology, activism, and place. Through a series of spotlight talks that introduce a selection of artists in the exhibition, learn how women artists have pushed photography to its limits, using the medium as a tool to interrogate and disrupt society, gender norms, and even their conceptions of themselves. This program will take place in the Women Photographers 1900–1975: A Legacy of Light exhibition. You do not need to register to attend the talks, but a ticket is required to enter the exhibition. by @annewilson7705
