direto do molho para o aeroporto… Portugal, soube a pouco💔 I’ve been coming to Portugal for more than six years and what once started as a little solo city trip by myself has now turned into a full-blown not-to-miss yearly homecoming trip, my very own surf safe space, strangers that transformed into friends and most importantly a place that saying goodbye to feels extreeeemely hard - (like bawling my eyes out hard) every. single. time. Feeling very lucky to be feeling the way I am feeling right now (meaning a little heartbroken but also enriched with new perspectives and the ever-present question of just moving to the ocean after all), grateful for all the lighthearted and cheerful moments and the much needed fun days after this year’s insanity. I am not remotely excelling at surfing (yet!!!), but feel so at ease and joyful out there and I still think it’s actually crazy how much the ocean can and will teach you about life, if you let it and are willing to listen (and obviously willing to take a couple of hits and washing machines along the way). keep on glowing with the flow🌀🧡
thank you @beachboiluki for being my unexpected surf hubby on this trip and muito obrigada to everyone that shared laughter and sidequests in and out of the lineup with me (or simply yelled at me to paddle harder, that worked wonders too I guess), until we meet again! by @anni.frie

July aka Leo season babyyyy 🤠💅🏼🫧🧚‍♀️ by @anni.frie

2025 aka „another year without savings but look at all the fun I’ve had!“🤸🏻‍♀️Muchas gracias to all participants. So happy about all the new faces that entered the chat as well as old ones that still put up with my bubbly, forgetful, eccentric butt. 2025 was extraordinarily ricaaa and such a swirl of grown-up vs childish activities (just don’t fully grow up it’s a trap) - can’t believe how many of my friends actually visited for sleepovers (crying), how many nights I’ve spent sleeping in tents and beds other than my own, the beautiful places I ran off to, the things I’ve let go of and what outcome I’ve created with my bare hands (and that November actually ended up being my favourite month of them all?!). Also, made it out with only about half a dozen lost belongings instead of a dozen - I call this progress. Sometimes I forget I still work full-time in between all of these highs. Looking at these squares it’s still all about the small forgetting-the-time moments with people though. Actually excited to be spending way more time offline in Hamburg in 2026. Extremely grateful, never taking this for granted.🫰🏼 by @anni.frie

🍂a long weekend of destabilizing (kardemommesnurrer & other hideous amounts of danish pastries, coffee, natural wine, impulsive purchases, vegan pølser hot dogs and working on crowded trains) & stabilizing (smørebrød, biking through the city, asleep by 10pm every night, cold water plunges (Fredi) and water from above (rain), playing rounds of Rummikub, admiring Danish houses/biking lanes/sense for interior/everything, catching the last late summer rays and deep talks over porridge) our nervous systems. Pro: an overall successful attempt of experiencing the hygge lifestyle. Con: the list of cities that I can see myself living in and moving to out of my millennial overromanticized urge to just pack up my things and start anew, just grew by another entry.
Tak, Cph & very much tak Fredi for this cute trip - I’ll for sure come back (most likely when I have money in my bank account again). by @anni.frie

I hate leaving my favourite portuguese colour combo dream behind - 10 days of soul fuel, beach break, burning skies, “tudo bem”, a calm mind, daily ocean cleanse, old friends and new faces, building confidence in the water, lots of laughter and cheering, tons of shared passion, “if you see a wave, you take it” approaches, not wearing socks once, brutal mosquito fights, still feeling waves when you go to sleep, and one too many pasteis de nata (some might even say 12). Connection, ease, flow, acceptance, simplicity, playfulness - life as it should be. Fifth year in a row speaks for itself & I am really loving this whole chasing waves thing (flights to catch them could be a little less expensive and my surfing learning curve a little more steep but ok maybe we do have to just move to the ocean eventually). Até a próxima! 🧡🩵 by @anni.frie

“The way you show up for yourself sets the tone for every other relationship in your life” habe ich mal in so einem Insta-Selbsttherapie-Post gelesen und vielleicht ist da ja auch was dran. Schneidezahn hin oder her. by @anni.frie

🦋July began to set the vibes (minus the rain…) I manifest for turning 31: intentional, regulated, untamed, unbothered, connected, rested, trusting, caring - safe.
I thought a lot about how I want to enter my thirty-second lap around the sun because this year in particular made me think about growing older and the passage of time A LOT (like a lot more than the usual lot). My closest friends getting married, having kids, building houses, settling down - just in overall very serious things on paper - and all within a year (sheesh) while I have a million question marks and ideas in my head that span across what to have for dinner tomorrow to wishing to live under the sun in Mexico. And I would lie if I say that this discrepancy and overall perceived growing gap in life choices hasn’t provoked sheer panic in me at times, because, oh boy, it has.
I currently feel like floating in a somewhat transition phase & maybe some of you can relate: old places that no longer fit, that feel a little too tight just like old clothes, but also new places that yet still feel a little too loose, too scary and too locked-in. It’s like a grey zone where the outcome is yet to be determined (hiii anxiety) like standing in the hallway wanting to open five different doors all at once. But luckily, this grey hallway-zone also leaves a big blank canva for new ideas, open space to fill with colour and room to slowly and intentionally grow into.
While the 20s meant absorbing everything, questioning norms and learning what sets your heart on fire and what not, my 30s challenge me to carefully listen inwards and not get sidetracked by comparing my very own timing with others. Choosing my own doors to go through. Not feeling pressured by engagement photos nor ultra marathon photos on social media alike. As someone who thrives on energy from other sources, I consider this a personally tough one. I don’t think I’ve signed up for this, but… challenge accepted, I guess?
My ongoing learning is: sitting through discomfort instead of needing to erase uncertainty all at once. Accepting that I am still standing in the doorway, not yet knowing which door to open or close. Maybe… ➡️ comments by @anni.frie

Update angefragt.

🤠❤️‍🔥 by @anni.frie
