s’posed to be 80’s and sunny (as of yesterday afternoon,) then it was 90% chance o’ rain and 100MM% humidity (as of just three hours ago.) but now we’re lookin’ at 85 and sunny (but still humid) with only a slight chance of a sprinkle or two overnight. welcome to summer in Ohio.

celebrating my 54 years around the sun and it’s been amazing.

starting Friday for an early birthday dinner & shenanigans with my gal pals @annlafferty45208 @hellskitchenmaid & @stacey.mcintyre7.

today was all about self care and an amazing dinner with my favorites @cadmonk3y @thebearinyourtrash @soft_baby_lily @erin.berry.me @bianca.berry.tarantino & @marilynschneider11.

tomorrow I get to start my long weekend with my @hoby_ohs gang!

🇫🇷 the final days: we actually stayed pretty close to the airbnb this trip; including some delish-delosh picnics in our flat. went to our local another time or two. took a couple walks. did some shopping (looking at you Monoprix!) the one “cultural” thing we were going to do was the Grand Palais Mucha exhibit. I *thought* it was a legit exhibit of his paintings hosted in the Grand Palais. mais non! it was a virtual reality tour of the (still being renovated) Grand Palais and an “immersive” Mucha exhibit. thank you. nope. we pivoted and walked from The Bastille to Place des Vosges and had our one fancy meal at Restaurant Anne that I happened on last year; needless to say, that was a much better time. spent our last evening finishing snacks and french beer/wine while packing up. Bonjour mes amis! Day 2 & 3 have been a slow start followed by doing lots of stuff and then back to the airbnb. Thursday we slept late and did a lot girl bonding in our little studio. then spent that evening in one of my favorite places in Paris - MONK la Taverne de Cluny - clocking a few recognizable monuments on the walk across the Seine. The Harry Diplock & Giangiacomo Rosso trio were delightful as was the jam session of rotating musicians that followed. This time there was an accordionist! We stayed late at Monk so today was another lie in day. found the Yayoi Kusama installation at the Louis Vuitton and had a super tasty late lunch/early dinner at Le Lutétia on Île Saint-Louis. we did some shopping and had a nightcap on our tiny balcony. calling it an early(er) night tonight. it’s supposed to rain for a good chunk of the weekend so we’re playing it by ear again tomorrow. bonne soirée! taken in Paris, France by @anni3b3tty

Bonjour! Day one: we slept more on our flight this time; thankful for the return of the CVG|CDG direct flights! landed in central Paris too soon to check in to our airbnb so sat in a café for too many hours. kick started with coffee and a croissant but quickly moved on to breakfast wine; because vacation! being back in my neighborhood brought on all of the feels. after checking in to our super cute little studio we went on a mission for flowers from my favorite shop in Paris: Anaïs. on the way, we popped in Saint Eustache Cathedral to light a candle for Popz; they had choir practice…😳🥰😭 Dinner at my Local - Aux Deux Ecus - was all that it should be. kisses from my fave server, pints of 1664, and croque monsieur. a quick pop in to the G20 to gather necessities - water & wine - before heading back to our home away for this week. had a nightcap and conversation on our tiny balcony before calling it a night.

we were super proud of making it through the entire day without a nap this time. but, then… we woke up at noon. 😬🤣 we’re taking it easy for day two but have MONK reservations this evening. will report back tomorrow fam. Á bientôt! 😘 taken in Paris, France by @anni3b3tty

day 32. this morning was all about COVID tests, last minute packing, checking out of my apartment and into CitizenM at CDG. still had an opportunity to grab a pain au chocolat from Stohrer, pass Saint-Eustache once more, and get some final snaps of my home away from home. au revoir 15 Rue du Louvre. your street noise was intense and your dust bunnies never ending. your perspective for people watching was above average and I loved every minute I spent in my tiny Parisien apartment. 🇫🇷🥰🇫🇷 taken in Rue du Louvre by @anni3b3tty

day 31. spent the morning of my last full day at Musée Rodin; so many beautiful pieces but I loved the gardens just as much. walked back to my apartment by way of Pont Alexandre, along the Seine for a bit, then through the Tuileries to the Louvre with a mango & vanilla ice cream. worked for a bit then had dinner and one last pint at Aux Deux Écus. got a genuine hug from our lovely server which had me near tears. tomorrow is all about doing the needful before transferring to my hotel at CDG. I’m sad to be leaving Paris and so happy to be going home. ❤️ taken in Musée Rodin by @anni3b3tty
