Not only was I a proud director this past week, but I was, again, a very proud dad! It’s not very often that one gets the opportunity to do what he loves with his entire family, but Frozen Jr gave me that opportunity!

@lilypaige1 was an absolute doll as Princess Anna, she was funny, charming and beautiful and brought the Princess to life in new and remarkable ways!

@annie.windham5 once again proved that she knows how to leave an impression on stage as Pabbie, a hidden folk (troll), she brought humor and mystery to the role.

Sammy gets more comfortable on stage every chance he gets, as Weselton (Weaseltown) he brought comedy and life to the stage every time he was on!

@nikki.windham did a remarkable job with the costumes and support to a house full of teenage actors and a demanding director!

It was a whirlwind 2 weeks, but there is no one else I would have rather done it with! Thanks @basintheatreworks for giving us these opportunities!!

Dogs are man’s best friend. They are our protectors, comforters, companions, secret keepers, and so much more. And today our family lost one of the best.

If you’ve been in our home at some point in the past 14 years then you knew our Punzle (short for Rapunzel, Lily’s favorite princess when she was 3).

Punzle was brave and kind and would always greet whomever entered our home with a sniff and a nudge letting you know that she would need at least one pet on the head. One of her vets lovingly called her a hand whore because no matter how much you petted her she would always demand at least one more! She was the queen at positioning herself just right if your foot was elevated to get a good belly rub from you whether you liked it or not.

Really, she was the queen of our home. She kept tabs on all the comings and goings and if someone was missing she would go from room to room until she found them.

She was our Nana. She helped Nikki and I raise our babies. She was a playmate and protector to the girls when they were young, often they would dress her up or cuddle with her when upset.

She was never amused when we would show up with a new dog or cat for her to train. She would look at us and you could hear her saying, “You’re kidding me, right, another one?” 😂😂😂

Nikki would often say, “Oh Punzle is Scott’s dog.” And she was right Punzle was my constant companion especially when she was younger. She would always figure out a way to be right beside me, sleeping next to my side of the bed or lying next to my feet. She loved us all, but she was my dog and I was her person.

I’ll miss her something fierce, my entire family will. She left us better than she found us. I don’t know that another dog will ever compare to good ole Punzle.

They truly are our best friends and I do believe that they all go to Heaven. So, I’ll see you again someday my sweet Punzle, we sure did love you. by @annie.windham5

She’s everything to me. This woman does it all, words can’t describe all that she is and all that she does. She carries the weight of this family and all of our stuff. I am thankful for her today and everyday.
