Sweet September, so fun and full I didn’t think to post so here’s an album of some of the art, music, design; friends and neighbors; date nights, delightful meals, so many gorgeous skies, and our new (old) electric car. Grateful to play in this city of dreams. ❤️

PAC was honored to be invited by the California Arts Council (CAC) to create a team of SDSU and PAC members to cohost the AiC Statewide Convening and to launch a new training series and upcoming Impact Report.

Over two inspiring days, the 2026 AiC Convening brought together artists, correctional partners, researchers, funders, and advocates to strengthen arts programming across California.

Thank you to the California Arts Council for your trust and support in bringing Arts in Corrections providers together from across the state. Thank you to the programs who joined us to build lasting collaboration! by @anniebuckleyla

July 2 is officially the middle point of the year, at least as far as I can tell, and I’m excited to share today that I will be launching a new writing venture, maybe more of an experiment, that I wanted to get going in 2026! I will be sharing weekly writing on Substack, exploring art in LA, art and community, and reflections on life and creativity and more. So honored and grateful to my dear friend Phung Huynh for including my father in her stunning new work for the purple line Metro in Century City! This expansive iconic piece honors people who lived and worked in Century City. It means so much to see Dad honored in this way. I’m sure he’s smiling from the starry beyond to be here with I.M. Pei, Shirley Temple, and so many others from this special part of the city.

We are excited to share more photos from the recent SDSU VISTA commencement at Centinela State Prison, which celebrated 29 graduates who earned bachelor’s degrees in Journalism while incarcerated. Congratulations to our dedicated students, we are incredibly proud of your achievements!
