Hello friends! As you may have noticed I have for the time being somewhat abandoned this account. I'm a bit particular about mixing content and maybe I will be better about it one day but at the moment I caved and made a secondary account for simple illustrations and pattern designs as I work on those.

If you would like to follow over on @anniekin.pod feel free and if not that's more than ok too! One day I will be active here again working on portraits and the like but for now I am taking a break.

Hope you're all having a wonderful week 💖 by @anniekinarts

Happy Friday! Sharing an attempted recolor from one of my last portrait drawings as that’s what I struggle the most with. Hope you had a great week 💕✨🔮

Hello 👋 I haven't entirely fell off the planet I just haven't had the chance to work much on any character drawing or portraits in a while. I have been working on repeat patterns though! Getting ready for spooky season (which is year round really) but I will be around updating more. I decided not to just keep this account for portraits & if I end up losing some of my following for that reason that's okay 💕🥰

Hope you're all well! ✨🎃

Today’s drawing and a few little life updates!

I haven’t been working on portraits much lately but I did hit 300 followers recently so I will be working on something for that with an Artist Support post. So, that’s coming this weekend hopefully if my second vaccine shot tomorrow morning doesn’t make me too sluggish.

I did also start with Redbubble and add a link in my bio for that kind of stuff if any of you have any interest in supporting me but I am not going to be posting those designs here normally. I want to keep this mostly based around my progress with character and portrait drawing.

Lastly, thank you to those who have stuck around through my spotty activity. I have been working again & had some other things going on that took time away from drawing but I really want to work on some new character drawings here soon. Hope you have all been doing amazing! ✨💜🔮

Interrupting my usual portrait progress once more as lately I have really only had the muse to work on some more fun simple designs like this one. I also started playing around with Redbubble a bit, and drawing daily just not the same kind of stuff I usually post here. Is that something I should share more of?

Hope everyone is having a great week so far! ✨

Hello! Sharing a recent unfinished project I have been working on in an effort to get back to posting and updating here a little more regularly. I took some time and was just working on line art designs for a stamp/print company and that’s fairly different from my portrait projects. There’s still a lot to learn.

Hope you’re all enjoying your week! ✨

I was working on a DTIYS project that I won’t be posting because I tried to do too much with it and it’s just a mess so instead here’s a witch hat doodle of sorts I drew while watching Scooby-doo xD

Do any of you have some older cartoons you like to rewatch?

Hope you’re all having a great week ✨

Taking advantage of pride to finally attempt a bit of a self-portrait. So let’s do a bit of an overdue introduction shall we?

My name is Annie, fun fact it’s also the name of one of my best friends and we enjoy confusing people✨🥰 I worked in social services for several years, mostly homeless shelters and then as a med tech for an assisted living facility. I miss it but it’s also an emotionally exhausting field. I use she/her pronouns and I am a biromantic demisexual who is married. We have 3 cats & one more random note is that I have a tattoo of Nessy, The Loch Ness Monster that I absolutely adore.

Art wise I started with acrylics and a deep love of messy pastels and charcoal. I dedicated a few years to learning watercolor and hand painting cards, and then I began my digital journey but I like to go back to other mediums when I hit a slump here. When I was in middle school I put “publish a coloring book” on my bucket list and while I don’t see that happening I would love to work towards designing a few printable coloring pages in the future!

Alright, I rambled enough. Feel free to comment with questions! Happy Pride Month 💖 let’s not forget to support queer creators instead of big corporations looking to cash in rainbows 🌈

Did anyone else spend all of yesterday feeling like it was Sunday? Hope your weeks got off to a good start nonetheless.

I used a photo reference for today’s painting but I got to a point where I kept messing with my blending towards the end and had to kind of forbid myself to touch it any further 😂

Hope everyone has been having a good week! I redrew and finished an old w.i.p I hadn’t really planned on getting back to. These sort of projects are always fun to do because it makes seeing the progress I have made a bit more apparent I believe.

Thank you to those who have stuck around through this learning experience so far!✨🔮

Very likely to be living in my forever Halloween corner for a bit🎃

Happy Friday! Though, fairly certain my weekend will just be filled up with some yard work.

Three out of the intended four isn’t bad for my first MerMay drawings, I don’t think. It pointed out a few things I would like to work on going forward, including backgrounds.

Hope everyone is having a great week, Friday is in sight ✨
