#sketchoftheday -
A view on a seasonal road. The photo I used was taken last fall. It’s really peaceful there, no traffic at all- unless the farmers are planting or harvesting. 😉
✏️I bought a few new colors of Faber-Castell colored pencils, all good choices! I like how they go on the paper, and I can use them along with my Daler Rownney watercolor pencils. (It seems the best art supplies are made in the EU!)

Sketch of the day:
Long Autumn Shadows
Ink and watercolor pencils, 4 x 5.25 inches,
4/2/26
Sketched from a photo I took on October 4,2023. I have taken many photos of this farm over the years. Sometimes there’s a red tractor in the yard, too. ❤️🚜

I just finished the other little painting I started up on the hill, on Monday. I just had to zero in on those corn rows! It’s so hard to get a good photo of a watercolor. The iPhone wants to add way too much contrast. I tried to match the colour and values. True colours and textures may vary. 😉

The sunset light of October… by @annieloug

It was just so pretty with the sinking sun casting its warm light on the hills tonight. I barely watched the sunset, everything else looked so amazing. 😉 Can you spot the deer in the second pic?

I took a little ride on a seasonal road before sunset tonight. The light was amazing on the fall colors. It nice to go to up to the mountains to see the leaves…but the local scenery is always pretty darn nice. (No edits, I don’t know why the sky looks yellow but I like it!)

I couldn’t select the best one, so here’s 2 shots of Friday night’s moon. It was hiding in the clouds earlier. Luckily I remembered to go out to look for it again. I love that edge of the crater that looks like a row of dots.

The moon came out of the clouds twice tonight, for a few short minutes; just long enough for me to get one good photo. Then it was gone, so I took a photo of the sky where it was. The only photos I took on this first day of October.

These anemones are growing in front of a neighbor’s house. There aren’t many this year, but maybe more will bloom. I want to plant some at my house. I used to have pink ones once upon a time.

I just realized today was the last day of September. 🫤🍁🍂 The sky clouded up in the late afternoon when I went to the store. (1,2) Then I walked around the neighborhood. Fall colors, a white anemone, pink hydrangea, and someone was watching me!

The same red maple tree, first early this morning; the second photo was taken in the afternoon 4 days ago. The color comes on fast!
