On an absolute high!

@jenna.starkey and I got to spend all morning with 15 leaders in a mini retreat. We had two goals: to REST & rejuvenate and to CELEBRATE what’s been working.

And it. was. glorious.

Now they’ll return to their programs rested, full of gratitude and ready to do even better work. When staff feel cared for, work culture can soar, teams can strengthen and impact can increase & expand.

Cheers to treating staff like the incredibly valuable resources they are and to the ripple effect of investing in this work! by @annienogg

L’Shana tova to those who celebrate! 🍎🍯

Today we went “rogue” and celebrated day 1 outside in gorgeous, blue-skied, vast nature. We did the holiday our way and jt. felt. Glorious.

Growing up, I thought Dolly Parton was a “bimbo.” Yes- I said bimbo and know there’s a LOT to unpack there.

Many years later, after meeting my person, I found myself going to his (and her) home state of Tennessee twice a year.

It was on my morning walks on the Memphis Greenbelt listening to “Dolly Parton’s America” that I began to fall in love with her like so many others. She was a convener of unlikely groups, a wildly generous philanthropist who put her money towards books for kids in poverty, Covid vaccines and so much more. Someone who was gracefully herself and had a great sense of humor.

Dolly, thank you for being an angel walking among us. Thank you for sharing your creative genius with us, thank you for modeling unity rather than division and thank you for showing us how it’s done to walk the talk of our values. You will be so missed. ❤️ by @annienogg

It was this guy’s birthday 2 days ago. To say I’m grateful to call this person my co-life adventurer, co-parent and lifelong roommate is a massive understatement. Cheers to waiting for you- in this lifetime and likely many others. I ❤️ you. Big time.

Ahhhh! This year it’s felt so good to set (and so far keep) non-work related goals. This year, I’m on track to read a book 📕 a month (a lot for me) and also complete- step by step- the Crosstown Trail 🌲- a 17 mile trail across SF. This is us on leg one of the trail.

The clearer I get on what my career looks like moving forward, the more I can lean into the fullness/many facets of this life outside of work too. So many pieces of this pie! It can be easy to lose sight of that sometimes. 2026 is delivering in reminding me often that we are so much more than our work. by @annienogg

A theme thats been coming up in conversation this week with clients, family and friends is the dynamic between us, despair and hope.

The battle between light and dark feels so ever present right now- both personally and collectively.

So- knowing we have agency- who will we let win?

I know which side I’m cheering/taking action for!

The biggest lesson from watching- and performing in!- a dance recital this weekend? 💃🏻

External feedback is nice, but it’s really just noise.

The real boss is our own internal voice. Telling yourself you look ridiculous and have no idea what you’re doing up there? It’s true. But telling yourself that you’re feeling it and having the best time and looking damn good while doing it? Also true!

Our own internal voice creates our external reality. Now how to make it absolutely pristine so we can shine like the star we are born to be? ⭐️⭐️⭐️ by @annienogg

Just because I’ve been consciously choosing to the smell the roses doesn’t mean I don’t also recognize what is- excuse my language- f*cked.

And for us to live authentically and keep evolving, I believe those things need to get called out. Voting obstruction, Epstein Files, the f*cking Rape Academy??!

I smell the flowers so these things don’t bury me in fear & disgust. I smell the flowers to remember that- even though so much is glaringly unhealed in us- there is still So much beauty in this world. I smell the flowers because I am alive in a body and I have the opportunity to do my part to make things more beautiful.

The both/and can feel like a paradox sometimes but it is also so achingly beautiful and so achingly human.
