We chose this sunlit setting as the backdrop to the maximalist look styled by @kdlimlim, partly inspired by Maricel’s original rendition of Paru-parong bukid featured in the ending scene. by @annikamariano

Storytelling through fabrics—refined yet rugged construction, and a subtle nod to our Pearl of the Orient 🤍
@renanpacson designed these bespoke looks for Zar Donato and Hannah Tan for the Europe on Screen film festival in Indonesia, where Maricel was screened.
First seen in the red carpet, now eternalized through ZARicel—a story about stories.
The editorial itself was inspired by the introduction between Zar, Hannah, and Renan. When we saw the looks Renan had created—an idea started to form: “What if… we mixed the stories of Zar and Maricel, and featured the looks she wore at her premieres?” After a flurry of DMs, a frenzied pre-prod deck, the collective was assembled, and the rest as they say, is her-story. taken in Philippines by @annikamariano

WHAT A WEEK to be in New York: from Tribeca to the Tonys to NBA finals to the start of World Cup 😮‍💨✊🏼

Rolled all the watch party experiences into one night and went from watching in Central Park to eating pizza while watching it on a TV in the gym, to watching the game inside a pub, and running to Times Square as soon as the game ended (my Saturday night LIVE, Knicks in FIVE ✋🏼!!)

Last Friday was a significant milestone for Ecoexist PH. We are honored to have attended @sustina.earth’s “Sustainability for Founders” workshop as Fellows! 🎓✨

We spent the day at The Astbury with the Sustina team and a diverse group of attendees who all come from different fields, united by the same passion for sustainability. Hearing their insights and getting feedback on our work was a great reminder that we are part of something much bigger than all of us.

Some key reflections that stuck:
• “Learning lives in the “messy middle.” Throughout the day, we learned that progress really happens in between the plan and the execution. Coming out of this, we appreciated the process of navigating challenges rather than waiting for a “perfect framework
• The value of “diskarte.” Innovation isn’t just a “buzzword” and as Filipinos, we have the perfect word to describe it. It’s about being creative and resourceful in how we achieve our goals. It’s the ability to find a way forward with what is available to us.
• Sustainability is about more than just the environment. To keep going, we must also sustain ourselves (in every sense of the word). At its heart, sustainability is about the art of coexisting: balancing our mission, our business, and our own well-being.

Lonely Boy & the Butandings—Tagalog for whale sharks—is a collaboration between the photographs of Filipino National Geographic Explorer Noel Guevara and my hand-drawn interpretations. I’ve always wanted to draw sharks, especially those that swim in our own oceans, and his beautiful images made that possible.

At the heart of the piece is not the whale sharks, but Lonely Boy—a character I created as a quiet reflection of myself, and maybe of you. He carries anxiety, fear, and disappointment, yet remains open, searching for connection, bunny ears up in attention.

Here, he looks for friends among the sweetest of things & the gentlest of giants, and who, like Lonely Boy, are solitary travelers.

The work is available as a special-edition 12 × 12-inch print on linen archival paper, paired with a limited-edition 60 × 60 cm scarf.

My POV for three months on the set of #CallMeMother (now showing in cinemas nationwide!) 📸

What an honor it’s been to have worked on my first #MMFF film and have watched geniuses at work every day, from direk @junrobleslana, to direk @dcarlomen (who I wouldn’t be here without!), direk @czareena.mov, and of course our Best Actor @praybeytbenjamin, Best Child Performer @iamandaliolucas, and Mama President nadine, and everyone in between!

4. I noticed 2 takes before this photo that the light kept passing @ddyn [on steadicam] at this angle and waited for the perfect moment for this photo
8-10. @czareena.mov and I were hiding in the bathroom and could only hear Angelo crying and things breaking during the take. One of the most emotional days on set.
