I turned a Marianne Moore poem from the 1800s into a punk song for the public song project.
Full @wnyc interview + song link in bio.

In August, I performed at the Brooklyn Public Library for WNYC’s Public Song Project, setting Marianne Moore’s poem A Jellyfish to a punk song 🪼🎸.

Showing how the public domain can be playful, political, and collective cracked something open in me. Sharing it in a public space, open to all, felt like the truest version of the work I want to make.

Grateful to WNYC for selecting me, and excited to keep exploring what’s possible when we breathe new life into old words. ✨

On Wednesday, August 12, 2026 Hotbox residents Jill Pangallo and Anni Rossi will stage an art exhibition and film shoot for the project they are developing during their residency. The exhibition will be presented by their fictional characters and will become part of the next film in their series: a meta-character piece about two artists who clash at a fictional residency. Please note: By attending, you (graciously) agree to appear as an extra in the short film!
⚡️⚡️⚡️
PANGALLO X ROSSI
Together, Jill Pangallo and Anni Rossi make character-based films about self-discovery and connection. Their process is deeply collaborative and fully self-driven: they write, perform, film, score, and edit everything themselves, a lean approach that echoes the DIY ethos both artists bring to their solo work. Their forthcoming film series is a natural home for the many mediums each of them works across individually (performance, music, writing, theater, movement) and a complement to the multidisciplinary practices they’ve each built on their own. In each film, the location functions as a character itself, shaping the tone and inspiring improvised dialogue that unfolds within a planned narrative outline and character breakdowns they prepare before arriving onsite to film. This method allows them to stay responsive while maintaining the structural integrity of their scriptment, a hybrid form that honors both preparation and the creative discoveries that emerge in the moment. taken in Mass Gallery by @annirossi

Holy fuck it’s here! My first longform, solo clown show, “We All Got Jazz” Is coming to @thepitnyc Monday, June 29, 10:15, as my own little contribution to the clown days fest.
An hour show, devised with and literally could not be possible without the incomparable clown, @annirossi will be a night full of song, dance, and merriment. And if it’s not, I tried. by @annirossi
