Mulki🏄🏽‍♀️🌸
A place I had been planning to visit since my college days.
By the time I finally got there, I wasn’t even sure if I would enjoy it but the moment I reached, it just hit me… I’m actually here! From that day on, I barely slept because I didn’t want a single day to end.
Me and Glan reached wondering, bro maza aayega na?? And that same night we ended up at the Kola festival, stayed till 4am, & witnessed something so different &beautiful.
Our first surf session 🌊 my Japanese makeup didn’t survive, but it felt amazing!The instructors made it even better none of them told the truth about their names or hometowns so we had to check their Aadhaar cards 😂 (Naupi said I could be a pro surfer 😂)
Days became a routine rushing for sessions, getting late & then getting judged by our coordinator, chuski after surfing 😋 & ‘Ideal’ice cream just hit different!🍨 One day we didn’t even bathe after surfing, went for ice cream, then toddy, and even made a waterfall plan in peak summer obviously no water 😭 but we still ended up at the beach, covered in sand. & that sand just never really leaves you&now it’s like no more sand in your body, no more😔.
That night everything was closed because mulki shuts down by 9, we were starving, so we finished Srujan’s protein bars and started laughing and crying at the same time(sleep deprived)while people around were like kya maal fukha hai?! 😭
I’ll miss the people the most💗. Sitting at Classic or backwaters, sunsets, random talks, taking multiple U-turns because I was in charge of maps(Nobody can relate to it more than Fardin😂) &sneaking in late every night.Deena the bitch sharing is emo-funny story and making us all laugh 😂😭
Illada Nivas felt like home. I even tried skating, fell straight on my ass 😭 but learned a little in the end.
And it really hit when Paddy said let’s have one last dinner together before we all leave tomorrow 😭 I was like why is it the end already?
The last day felt heavy. No more surfing, no more random plans, no more ice cream runs.
I didn’t want to come back, I really didn’t.
7 days felt like a whole life.
Mulki wasn’t just a trip,it was something I’ll carry with me for a long time. by @annmariathomas_
