MEGAPAUSE, my 1-hr dramedy, made the second round of the ISA Fast Track Fellowship.💥 @networkisa

I love this show and I’m supa happy to see it finding its way into rooms.

Women over 40 deserve to be at the center of the story. So, I’m writing them that way. Funny, messy, complicated and powerful. And in this one, they also save the world.

Logline:
When a hormone therapy patch unlocks impossible abilities in a frazzled suburban mom, she becomes the reluctant center of an unlikely sisterhood of middle-aged women whose deepest fears and wounds manifest as superpowers, making the women the world had written off impossible to ignore. by @annmarietv

Me? Bothered? You mustard been thinking of somebody else. 🌭✨

*God I loved Nirvana. I can still picture myself listening to this all moody broody in my fave flannel with cut off sleeves, my ying-yang tee, beat up jeans and Doc Marten boots. This 💿 got played into oblivion in the 90s.

On this day in 2017 filming began on Dime, a short film I was hired to write based off a loose concept (a heavy, heartbreaking inciting incident). I told the producer who brought me in that I mostly wrote comedy, but she liked my samples/vibe and took a chance.

It was an incredible learning experience for me and I discovered I absolutely love switching gears and leaning into drama.

The coolest thing: I said I envisioned a “Sandy Martin type” as the lead (I saw her in my head when I pictured the character) and they got her!

It was awesome seeing such an epically talented actor bring my words to life and I’m proud she loved the script. We had plans to work together again but have not! Maybe this year.

A little sneak peek at one of the characters from a little book I wrote that’s now being illustrated.

Meet Aunt Flo. The hard-livin bitty who’s been ruining vacations and white pants for generations.

The illustrations are coming together beautifully, and I can’t wait to share more. Coming later this year! I’m so bloody excited!

Love when AI says something completely bonkers and then goes, “Opps, my bad 😂.” Also, I’m scared. - RhoGPT #chatgpt #ai #funnyreel #laugh #comedy by @annmarietv
