At the beginning of the video, I talk about how in my youth I dreamed of being the age I am now, so that I too could be beautiful, ethereal, confident, and capable.

Then I share some highlights from the elegant demo session I had yesterday.

(The demo turned out pretty well and no music was harmed in the making of this video.) by @annstiina

Halusin tän hetken mulle talteen. 🥹

In English:

I wanted to capture this moment for myself. 🥹

Life lately: my business just turned one, Solo (So Low) is pulling in some pretty nice numbers, my apple tree is in full bloom, and I’ve been accepted to study songwriting at Pop & Jazz Conservatory, Helsinki. ☺️

Have a nice day everybunny. 🩷 taken in Järvenpää by @annstiina

Annstiina is mostly known for art pop, the kind of carefully built songs that live in synths and vocal layers, not bare keys. On field, she drops all of that and sits alone at a piano in Järvenpää on a grey December day, thinking about couples who fell in love and then watched war rearrange their lives. The EP was improvised in one go on Finnish Music Day, and you can hear that decision in the way ideas arrive. by @annstiina

6 outstanding piano-led instrumental tracks wrapped into one EP called “field”, @annstiina has done something special here. Layered in art pop, cinematic minimalism, and memorable melodies, this is a record for anyone seeking a slice of calm in their lives. Grab some headphones and give it a spin! taken in Los Angeles, California by @annstiina

So honored to have my EP ‘field' featured on @obscuresoundmusic 💜

Thank you Mike Mineo for giving my piano pieces a platform and for the beautiful words!

“...field plays as a lovely, introspective interlude that achieves a strong emotional ferocity within its understated, delicate compositions.”

💜 'field' is about love and resilience and it can be found from all streaming services tonight. 💜

🎹 Like the EP, piano track in the video is also improvised just for this occasion.
