Dana & Daniel, from a sunny day in Chicago together at the end of May 💛

their favorite park —
watching them watch birds, Dana overcome with glee at the sight of a blue heron.
the sun begins to lower on a day that began with a bike ride to the farmers market.

I direct them to frolic & lay around in pools of golden light, knowing they’ll fall into their familiar rhythm of how they respond to each other…Daniel picking Dana up in his arms, the ease at which Dana’s arm wraps behind Daniel’s as they lay on his chest, the way Daniel’s whole face widens into a toothy grin when looking over at Dana, the tenderness of a quiet moment sitting back to back.

this shoot was part of a trade I did with Dana, a friend who is an incredibly talented designer + founder at @ronnybass_

Dana had recently gotten engaged when I was asked to be in a longtime friends wedding…& it felt like such a special opportunity for them to design me a bespoke bridesmaid outfit in exchange for photographing their engagement shoot.

I am so grateful to be seen by Dana in designing me a set I feel so embodied in, & for the ability to see + document their love with Daniel. taken in Chicago, IL by @annuhlog

@eastforkpottery spring 2026 color palette on film, May 2026.

an absolute honor to be asked alongside a few other photographers to make images for this collection.

a snippet of a reflection I shared with them:

“I was inspired to capture scenes of fleeting spring moments with big feeling: the first rooftop dinner party of the season, the way the shifting light now hits your dining area at 8am.

Gone in an instant but leaving a mark, these colors remind me of the beauty of this season of reawakening in New York — both the moments you share and the moments you hold for yourself.”

last slide for the mems 💌 a meal documented, shared & savored with sweet friends.
