72 hours deadline. 4 actors. 2 poor connection Zoom meetings. 1 short film. 5 hours to create.

We had 72 hours to come up with a concept, bring artists together, find a date and time that worked for everyone, scout a location, write, style, shoot, edit and submit a 3–5 minute short film in the correct format.

It wasn’t about making something perfect. It was about challenging ourselves, exercising our creative brains and seeing what we could pull together.

We made quick decisions and bold choices.

This was part of the @identitydrama_ Competition.

A special thank you to the brilliant actors, who I’m now lucky to call dear friends. We brought energy, dedication and hunger. We put our own priorities aside, made the time and just got on with it. And later went to work 😂

We were astonished by how much we could achieve with the right people, a shared vision and five hours on the clock.

It reminded me that you don’t need everything to be perfect to make something. Sometimes you just need to start, trust the people around you and do it for the love of the art.

Prop- We must see a ball and flowers used in the film

REQUIRED PROPS

REQUIREMENTS
1. Your film must be no less than 3 minutes and no more than 5 minutes in total when edited (1 page of script = approximately 1 minute on screen).

2. We want to see a central theme told through a specific genre. Make sure your chosen theme and genre are both clearly present in the final film.
