Our spare bedroom welcomed its first guests in 2025 and we're hoping for even more visits this year. All the colours inspired by the kilim my mum sourced for us in Poland, and also by the exhibition we saw in Lodz a few years ago.

When not occupied, the biggest bedroom in the house belongs to Clara the cat and, with her permission, we're allowed to use it as a gym and yoga room ;)

What can I say, it's great to have a house which is too big... by @annwsparrow

Once the books are on the shelves, this home really feels like home. And how about this built in library corner made by @sandell80 ? My contribution was finding the William Morris chair on sale for £100 instead of the original £600. A collection of charity shop kitsch trinkets has definitely been a mutual effort.

The best part of looking after a garden is that it keeps on changing. by @annwsparrow

This year's garden so far. The last two weeks have made an amazing difference. Things grow, open and flower. Lots of work as always, compost has been added to all the beds, lawn has been overseeded with clover, vegetables have been sown too. I'm ready to spend the next five months watching it evolve.

Finally good light to take some photos of the staircase and the landing. It's incredible to see this place having its own personality as I hated seeing it empty and forgotten for over a year. It's a bit granny chic with a few Polish elements. Matte lilac wall with glossy 'tunnel of yellow' staircase. New and vintage combined, which is my favourite.

Every visit to Eltham Palace is different. Considering I'll be designing a new bathroom, kitchen and dining room soon, my third time was all about knobs, tabs, handles, sinks, tiles and, of course, dining suites.

Things that inspired me are wooden kitchen handles, art deco door handles, radiators and taps and, surprisingly, large square pale yellow bathroom tiles with no grout.

And yes, I think I've changed my mind about the dining table and chairs and art deco style is much more me than the 1930s utilitarian I previously planned (which very likely our house was furnished in when it was first built).

The trick might be to avoid a monochrome look at deco is associated with these days and keep it warm with wood and dusty pink. And a lot of vintage rather than new finishes, right?
