some footage from the past two months road tripping around the South Island of NZ- videos from hut tracks along the West Coast + Abel Tasman Natl Park + Karamea/Heaphy Track

I can't belive this road trip epic is coming to a close, but that just means more skiing and less tramping, so the grass is just as green in my mind. The land here is so beautiful and unique, and it's been such a journey getting to venture into the country and find suprises around every corner. Also SUSPENSION BRIDGES!! so cool. ANDDDD there are so many cool birds here. some featured birds include the Black Swan and Variable Oyestercatcher... but there are so many other cool ones (Don't worry guys I bought the guidebook okay)

I'm grateful- I'm so happy to be here, especially after graduating from UCSC (SLUGS FOREVER!) and following the little voice that told me to send it across the globe to chase some snow.

I've been in New Zealand for almost three weeks and here are some photos from my CRAZY SUMMIT OF A SUPER HUGE MOUNTAIN🦅

waiting for snow, but not in a rush. i have a lot of bug bites. making good food and reading a new book, feeling almost normal and doing lots of hut trips. the beers here are large. i really want a nanopuff with a hood. on the search. by @annyalivak

My car, Sexy Sadie, has died. She held many pairs of skis and many bikes and surfboards and climbing gear and a little red kayak and one mattress. She moved me into my homes in Santa Cruz and out again. She took me skiing an incessant number of times, and seeing as it was technically her home, she never complained. Sadie will be missed dearly, especially for her sub and her inability to offer consistent air conditioning and defrosting. She died the day I got home from college, so thank you Sadie for taking me over Donner Summit one last time, and always keeping me safe. by @annyalivak

This past year I’ve spent so much time out adventuring with friends, and there’s not much more I could ask for. I’ve made new connections, strengthened old ones, danced my heart out, and cherished time in my favorite places. Last year was one of the most challenging of my life so far, and for all the folks that have been around to witness, I am so grateful for all of the listening ears and steady hands and hearts that have helped push me along 🌓💌 by @annyalivak
