📍Mont Blanc — 4,806 m 🏔️ 25.08.26 — we stood on the summit of the highest mountain in Europe.

There had been no one on the summit for quite some time. There were no tracks, and a huge amount of fresh snow had fallen overnight before our ascent.

We started via the Grand Mulets route, but because of massive crevasses, we couldn’t follow the normal line. We had to make our own way around them and essentially create our own route. This cost us a huge amount of time, and we eventually had to spend the night at Refuge Vallot (4,362 m) — an emergency mountain bivouac with no heating and no sleeping bags.

On summit day, the weather was so bad that we couldn’t even hear each other while roped together. Visibility was no more than 10 meters. No tracks, no landmarks — nothing. We had to navigate only with the map, constantly hoping we wouldn’t suddenly run into a crevasse.

Because of all these circumstances, the entire ascent took 4 days, including two extremely intense nights at Refuge Vallot, at 4,362 m.

The day after our ascent, as far as I know, no one attempting the summit via the classic route managed to reach the top.

At one point, I actually fell into a crevasse, but managed to catch myself. I also watched my partners fall waist-deep into crevasses more than once. So this is absolutely not a joke.

Always be careful. If you don’t have the proper experience, always go with a qualified mountain guide — and never, ever try to recreate something you’ve seen on the internet.

Matterhorn — 4,478 m, at 17. 🏔️

A traverse from Italy to Switzerland. 🇮🇹 → 🇨🇭

But it all started a year ago. You definitely know this guy — and this was our very first hike. 🥾⛰️

That winter, we hiked up to Hörnlihütte — and I couldn’t even dream of climbing the Matterhorn one day. 🏔️

And then I woke up to 6 missed calls. I made up excuses to cancel all my plans, and by that evening, I was already in Milan, training with a rope. 🧗‍♂️🇮🇹

And then we did it.
