Kaiju Battlefield Surgeon

Imagine getting hired by a random dude to paint a mural of his virtual reality game base only to get tricked and stuck in the said game. Oh and you must finish the game or you will die in the real life... and oh, the pain setting is up to 120%... and did I mention that there are huge Kaiju roaming around?

Oh! My! God!!! This was so crazy!! I didn't even plan to read this yet. I was bored on a bus and decided to listen to the first free part on @soundbooth.app and got absolutely hooked. First of all, it was so good to hear Jeff Hays again! I loved how this was done and the cinematic atmosphere definitely adds a lot to the experience. And the story? Absolutely bonkers! It's gory, it's brutal, it's sad and shocking. My jaw was on the floor quite a few times, because WTF? I really liked how it went and the overall idea of it all. I would recommend this if you liked DCC AND are a fan of horror. It's not for people with weak stomach and maybe not for lactose intolerant people 😅

Red stack 🌹🌹

Since I've recently shared a black stack and a white flatlay, I naturally wanted to do a red stack next 🌹 and yes, the candle wax totally ran down my books 🫠🫠

White flatlay Monday 🤍🤍

I've got so many books with white covers! Of course, Brando Sando wrote more like a half of them 😂 do you like white covers? Or do you prefer a more colorful cover?

Wolf Worm take two 🖤❤️🖤

I have reviewed this book a while ago, but I hate the picture I did for it, so here is another one! I would also like to mention that I got a comment from someone very dear to me here, that my pictures look like paintings, so I wanted to embrace that even further. Do you think I managed that?

Happy Saturday everyone 🖤

I hope that everyone has a wonderful weekend filled with great books 🖤

The beautiful illustration in the picture is from @thebrokennbinding edition of Piranesi. @alicecaoillustration did such an amazing job with these, I was truly blown away by them.

W.I.T.C.H challenge 🖤🧙‍♀️🧹

Some time ago I did a challenge where I had to spell out "witch" using book titles and I really enjoyed making it. So with the spooky season upon us I want to give it another go and pass it on to my fellow witches 🖤🖤

No pressure tho 🖤

A Trade of Blood

This is the third installment in Ana and Din Mysteries series. I love how unique this world is. The blend of murder mystery solving, genetically modified people, ancient secrets and giant leviathans works so well together. I think that this part might be my favorite one so far. I was so invested in the story. I also really like how with each new book we not only get a new mystery, but also get to know Ana and Din much better. I can't wait for the next part!

DCC appreciation post ✨️✨️

It has been some time since I shared my love for this series. It also has been some time since Gizmo appeared here! I used to picture him with every DCC book I read. I really liked doing that. What other series you would recommend me where I could picture my cat with every single book?

Dead Beat

Welcome back to the secret societies of Yale, demons, vampires, sentient houses and deadly powers. I enjoy Leigh Bardugo's writing a lot. Having read all of the Grishaverse I thought that I knew what to expect, but when I first picked up Ninth House it managed to surprise me and it was nothing like the previous books of hers. Overall I really enjoyed the whole trilogy, but I would say, that the first book is remains my favorite. I liked that these was a bit of romance, but it never overpowered the plot. The characters seemed interesting and I liked their progression. The plot kept me interested. If you are looking for a complete trilogy for autumn I would highly suggest this one.

Now for this picture, you know, that flatlays are not my strongest area, but I really tried to do something different for this one.

September stack 🖤🖤

September flew by so fast! I managed to read quite a lot (at least for me). Not all of them were great, but I'm still very happy with what I read. Now tell me what are you planning to read this spooky season? Or you can comment skull emoji and I will give you a recommendation 💀💀
