HEALTH 💊 IS WEALTH 💰
What good is it to work so hard and not be well enough to enjoy it with those you love the most?

From initial research and development (R&D), lab scientists progress a molecule through clinical trials and ultimately to the patients where it’s needed most as quickly and safely as possible.

Health impacts everyone and simply knowing about it isn’t enough, you’ve got to proactively engage with it too!

I can’t assume everyone knows what Clinical Research/ Trials are 😅 so here’s a 101

It may seem really simple but doing some research to define what things are before you take the next step is critical! Ask yourself “what does this actually mean for me?” and get those answers so you can make an informed decision.

🔑 This same principle can be applied to every area of life where you need to make a decision about anything big or small

After being rejected so many times, something had to shift! When I finally made it to my first pharma job interview, they told me I didn’t have the skills, or the experience, and I even lived too far 🥲
They rejected me but I wasn’t going to let that stop me… I changed my MINDSET instead of my dreams and it’s paid off in nearly every area of my life ☺️

Leverage what you actually HAVE, not what you don’t/ wish you had. Skills are transferable. Life experience counts. Time is of the essence!

Before the start of every journey, there’s a time for preparation. There are some things you just can’t learn in books - life is practical and you’ll definitely learn some new skills along the way!

Even though I wasn’t taught about the Pharma industry on my Biomed degree, taking the ‘scenic’ route has equipped me with a unique set of transferable skills 😊

If you haven’t made it to where you need (or want) to be… keep on moving! 🏃🏾‍♂️

How big do you think the Pharma Industry is? 🤔

There’s an army of highly skilled professionals involved in Drug Development, Clinical Testing & Trials, all while adhering to rigorous regulations for medicines & medical devices. This ensures they are safe and effective.

Some people only find out about the Pharma industry from headlines of epidemics like COVID-19 🦠, human experiments of the past 🧫 or through someone experiencing illness - but do you know anybody that looks like you working in it? 👀
