Having an adult kid is like watching your heart walk around outside your body, but now it has a passport and its own bank account. 😳 😭 Isaac and his friend, Justin left this morning for a few months on the other side of the planet. #Bali.I love watching my boys follow their dreams, even when it’s hard on my heart. Isaac is somehow simultaneously the driver of all chaos and yet the most generous and forgiving person you’ll ever meet. I’ve learned so much from him. Love you, Isaac. He’s home!! I can’t seem to find adequate words to express my feelings- excitement, admiration, gratitude, exhaustion, overwhelm, JOY. I’m so proud of Bentley and the way he served the Lord. He truly endured to the end through some tricky health challenges but didn’t let that stop him from loving and blessing the amazing people in Chile with all his heart.Hearing his testimony before he was released is something that I will always treasure. He will be speaking at our church next Sunday, October 19. Message me for details! by @anplouzek

When Spencer was six I had a clear prompting to put him in music. Tonight he had the opportunity to accompany a youth orchestra. The @lyceummusicfestival spent a meager five days together and pulled off a brilliant performance. Bravo, young musicians! I am so inspired! by @anplouzek

Harry finally had his tonsils removed on Thursday. Those things should've been gone 6 years ago! He's not exactly loving ice cream, soup, or anything else mushy right now, but he’s doing well and hanging in there! by @anplouzek

We were super fortunate to sneak in a trip to Mexico together last month. The best part (besides no Bentley 😭) was just being together. Watching the boys swim with sharks, finding cliffs to leap off, and devouring the delicious food were highlights as well. It was genuinely incredible and I still find myself daydreaming about it! by @anplouzek

Bentley celebrated one year on his mission earlier this week!This year has undoubtedly been one of growth and sacrifice. We’re so grateful for Bentley’s service and willingness to serve the wonderful people of Chile. I miss him so much.Here is a portion of his letter this week:“It’s been a great few weeks. It’s been a great few months. I know the best and most reliable method of self-improvement is the Atonement of Jesus Christ. Use daily with honorable intention to improve and it’ll change your life forever.A year ago today, I was set apart from the world to represent Jesus Christ. I can’t believe it’s already been a year—the fastest, longest, weirdest, and most roller-coaster year of my life. I wouldn’t say it’s been the funniest—no, definitely not the most entertaining year of my life. But I have found so much joy amongst many life-changing events and time periods during this past year. I have had the opportunity to see countless lives change. I was able to celebrate my 1 year mark in the temple today during a personal interview with our loving Father. Jesus Christ is coming... and God is giving us the next few years to prepare ourselves. USE the sacrificial blood of the Lamb. It was shed for you! What a shame it would be if it were to have been extracted in vain. Become the saint God has preordained you to be. This can only be done through obedience, sacrifice, the Gospel of Jesus Christ, and consecration.
