For the past week I was able to go on a mission journey with my church to the amazing country of Costa Rica. There I learned so much about the culture, locals, and food as well as connecting with members from my church on a much deeper level. This experience honestly was life changing for me for many reasons. It was my first ever mission trip as well as my first time out of the U.S. I was able to experience first hand how lucky I am to be living where I am as things were so much different there. Delivering food boxes, building a ramp, mixing endless concrete, and attending vbs at a local school taught me so many things. Making connections with local kids despite the language barrier is something I will forever remember. Regardless of what felt like eating endless rice and beans and never ending flight delays I’m so glad I was able to go on this journey to this beautiful country to see how God works through everyone’s life on the daily as well as share his love to others through both my actions and words! #Godissogood🇨🇷 taken in Costa Rica by @ansleyshep.09

I’m so incredibly blessed to have been able to serve on another international mission journey! Jamaica welcomed us with so much love and kindness! This journey opened my eyes to the lasting impacts natural disasters can have on communities. This week challenged me, grew my faith, and reminded me how God works through every act of service. I’m leaving grateful, with unforgettable memories, and a piece of my heart that will always belong in Jamaica. Thank You Lord for allowing me to be Your hands and feet!🇯🇲 #Godisgood #walkgood #iamapromise taken in Jamaica by @ansleyshep.09
