An important aspect of who we are and what we do through our work with Ansmoon is that it is truly our daily life. We traveled extensively together throughout Morocco before having children as we imagined what our work and life could be together, and we have continued to do so since having our 2 beautiful sons. We may not have the nap routines or sleep schedules of others, but we know where to go, where to stay, how long to stay based on what you want to see or do or feel, and we are able to stand by our recommendations because we’ve done it, we’ve lived these journeys. We are immensely grateful for every recommendation, every person who has mentioned our name, and placed their trust in us. This modest endeavor has continued to bless us year after year, and it’s one of our greatest joys. We cannot wait to collaborate with you and yours. #ansmoonadventures #thebizzous by @ansmoon.co

Up and out early this morning to beat the heat ☀️ a little wandering, a little sourcing, a lovely lunch with some fountain play, and a backpack nap🎒😴these are the days🇲🇦✨#ansmoonadventures #ansmoontreasures #thebizzous #nouhnousnous by @ansmoon.co

A journey through my beautiful country, Morocco 🇲🇦❤️ From the vibrant streets of Marrakech to the peaceful mountains, golden deserts, and endless Atlantic coastlines—every corner tells a story. Grateful to call this beautiful country home. ✨

I met SaraJane on Zoom before I met her in person. I was in college and had gotten picked to plan our Hillel trip to Morocco with @jasonweber15 , and she and her husband Issmail were the guides on the ground building it with us. We spent months working on the trip prep, and we clicked right away.

Then we landed and bonded even more in person. But what clinched it was an hours-long bus ride, when @taliameidan and I grilled her on her entire life story. Curled up across a row of bus seats, it stopped feeling like talking to our guide and started feeling like being twelve, gossiping on the bedroom floor at a sleepover.

The short version: She was working at Whole Foods, a normal big corporate job. She came to Morocco on a work trip, met her tour guide, and that was it. She pulled a 180 and moved. Pretty much right away, not after a five year plan. They have built a beautiful life parenting two kids and running @ansmoon.co

What SJ gave me: proof that you don’t have to follow anyone’s blueprint. She’s one of the deepest thinkers I know, and she did not overthink this one. She wanted the life, so she went and got it, somewhere unfamiliar and far from anyone who’d known her since she was a kid. She’s still the person I send an eleven minute voice memo to when I’m doubting myself, and she always talks me back into confidence.

Most of us find ourselves quietly running somebody else’s plan (myself included!). The job you’re supposed to want, the timeline you’re supposed to be on, the trip everybody else is on. SaraJane has been a big part of my (ongoing!) journey to stop assuming the standard version is the right one, which is what led to the philosophy behind Travel Tranqui. I don’t think what you want out of your life and what you want out of your trip are separate questions.

Have you heard of Moulay Idriss Zerhoun? If you’ve talked to our freshly 4 year old anytime in the last 6 months then you most likely have😅he’s been wanting to go so for his 4th birthday, we hit the road! Meandering our way through the Meknes countryside with a stop in Rabat on the way. Situated just above the UNESCO world heritage site of Volubilis, it’s the perfect place to wander, people watch, and soak in a slower pace of life. One of our favorite places to catch a sunset. So thankful that our little ones seem to love it as much as we do🥰🌅🇲🇦 by @ansmoon.co
