WOW!!! What a week!! We had such a blast at our first ever National ANS Student conference at Texas A&M. We are so grateful for this opportunity to explore the nuclear industry further and meet many other aspiring nuclear engineers. Thank you so much to all of the other amazing schools for the best time!! Especially @ans.tamu for hosting the most incredible event we could have hoped for. See you all next year!!!

Huskers Go Nuclear was a success! ⚛️ As the first event of its kind at UNL, we’re proud to be breaking barriers and setting a new standard—with plans to make this an annual tradition.

We’re incredibly grateful for all the positive feedback and for everyone who helped make this conference possible, especially @asun_unl for providing the majority funding for this event to support green initiatives on campus.

A huge thank you to our presenters: Orano, SHINE, the Nuclear Energy Institute, Bostleman Engineering Inc, Advanced Nuclear Coalition, OPPD, NPPD, UNL research professors, NUtech Ventures, and a special thank you to the Nebraska Secretary of State, Bob Evnen, for delivering an inspiring keynote.

ATTENTION HUSKERS❗️❗️❗️

This upcoming Monday, March 30th, UNL’s very own American Nuclear Society will be holding the universities first professional conference about Nuclear Power and Engineering at the Wick Alumni Center.

We will have breakfast and lunch accommodations for all attendees with students able to get in for free. It will be a busy day with 12 panelists discussing and sharing their insights on topics such as Nuclear in Nebraska, Spent Fuel and Decommissioning, Current Operating Reactors, and New Nuclear Design. Company booths will also be present, highlighting their work in the industry and to provide career development opportunities for the aspiring. This is going to be our biggest event of the year, and we look forward to seeing lots of professional and student faces throughout the day. 😊 by @ansnebraska
