A smile a day: just a few thoughts l had earlier…

“l was thinking about creativity in general and especially in the context of Synesthesia… And how our senses influence our communication with the world outside, spoken or written language, which ever form it takes, images, music, touch, movement etc… Are we ever really in tune with each other or is it more a quest for a certain harmony or at least acceptance of our different experience of the world? Can we ever truly communicate how we feel and what we see ? How efficient is any form of language? Do we ever truly meet? Are we content with attempting to do so, knowing the imperfection of any communication. Maybe it is that imperfection that makes us human… And if we add two final ingredients, humility and kindness, l believe we can see the world as one… 🎶😀❤️🌷🎶
Going back to the beginning of my post, l do see creativity and its expression which ever mode it takes, as a two way conversation.
There is your intention, your feeling and meaning that you try to offer, and at times or for some that is enough or complete; but it also opens a conversation with the recipient’s understanding or rather interpretation according to his/her own frame of references, feelings and background… It is the magic of Art in the wider sense to open these unpredictable conversations. So for me creativity as it expresses itself is a mode of communication which is often full of surprises.
I do believe there is a sense of responsibility to be genuine and true to oneself, and one’s work may also contain one’s own hesitations and questions…So l have gone full circle and back to humility, adding also the sheer joy of creating and making…
