🚨 FIRST LOOK AT THE OFFICIAL WE ARE ALL STRANGERS【我们不是陌生人】MOVIE POSTER 🚨

The final instalment of Anthony Chen’s ‘Growing Up’ trilogy is coming home to Singapore on 20 August.

Synopsis: In contemporary Singapore, 21-year-old Junyang lives in the ease of youth while his father struggles to hold their modest life together. When Junyang’s relationship with his girlfriend takes an unexpected and life-altering turn, the young couple is forced to face the realities of adulthood far sooner than anticipated. At the same time, an exuberant woman enters his father’s life and heart, quietly reshaping the fragile balance between father and son.

As both generations confront love, loss, and responsibility, they must redefine what family means – and learn to live with the imperfect bonds between those we are born to and those we choose.

A baptism🤱, a wedding👰‍♀🤵, and mass⛪️. We had the privilege of filming some iconic scenes of WE ARE ALL STRANGERS《我们不是陌生人》in the beautiful @stjoseph.sg church, perfect timing to celebrate its 180th anniversary earlier this year.

@antchen's love letter to Singapore, WE ARE ALL STRANGERS《我们不是陌生人》lovingly captures many different parts of the city in the movie. Catch it in cinemas now! by @antchen

TIFF, you were a whirlwind. 🌪️ Still thinking about those 3 crazy days!

This September has been a non-stop sprint. Constantly checking my watch, city-hopping, and chasing the clock.

The route so far:
🇸🇬 Singapore → Toronto 🇨🇦 → Shanghai🇨🇳 → Macau🇲🇴 → Bangkok 🇹🇭 → Beijing🇨🇳

Not sure how long I can keep up this pace, but I’m running on pure adrenaline and the amazing energy from the films, people, and conversations along the way. 🔥

My favourite TIFF programmers June Kim @imjunekim and Giovanna Fulvi @fulvig ❤️ I don’t have my cast and crew with me, so these two are my entourage!

Thank you to our first North American audiences. It’s been 13 years since I attended TIFF with my first feature ILO ILO. Four North American premieres later, I feel like the TIFF audience has literally watch me grow up as a filmmaker.

We are certainly no longer strangers.

Possibly in love with @audemarspiguet Code 11.59. It’s my favourite AP watch I have worn so far.

Randomly bumped into our French distributors Quentin and Michele of @arpselection . @weareallstrangersfilm opens in France 23 Dec!

Random snapshot while dashing to interviews!

#toronto

So so proud of @kamilandini , whose latest feature Four Seasons in Java world premiered at TIFF. Contributed to her fifth film, in a small small way. And so happy to have been at the premiere where it was launched to the world 🌎 Film is stunning, go catch it!

✌🏻

TIFFing ends here. Till next time… by @antchen
