Hello, I’m Michelle, the heart behind Anteolope (an-tee-oh-luh-pee… like Penelope at the end).

I am a mother, a maker, and someone who has always felt pulled toward creating things that carry heart. Crochet entered my life in 2024 and quickly became more than learning something new. It became a way to translate softness, imagination, and all the little ideas that refused to stay only in my mind. Later that same year, I opened this account, and one year ago, I stepped into pattern design, trusting that what was growing in my hands deserved its own place in the world.

I believe deeply in building safe spaces where no light feels dim, where people feel free showing up as they are, and where encouragement feels natural. Growing up, I was bullied, and I think that shaped the way I now move through spaces and relationships. It taught me how deeply words, presence, and belonging can affect a person.

My family is part of everything I build. My husband is my better half in the truest sense. He has a beautiful way of making me fall in love with my dreams over and over again simply by standing beside them, supporting them, and reminding me they matter.

I am completely obsessed with geese, as you can probably tell. There is something about them that feels quietly powerful to me. Geese protect each other, stay close, take turns carrying strength, and do not leave one behind. Even the way they move together feels intentional, and I think that kind of loyalty is beautiful.

Fun little things about me:
🪿I used to teach belly dance and fully believed I would open a dance studio one day.
💗My Bronco is very much part of my personality because to me it is not just a car (she’s my baby)
🪿I drive stick and refuse to let that skill disappear
💗I could happily live inside Gilmore Girls forever,
🪿I have always loved vintage decor… I truly believe I am a grandma at heart, which explains my current obsession with collecting goose decor.

Life lately. 🤍✨

I’ve realized I’m always so focused on what’s next that I sometimes forget to stop and celebrate what’s already happening and everything I’ve accomplished along the way.

This year, I designed Gansito, the couch goose I love with my whole heart. She’s brought so much growth into my life, and I’m incredibly grateful for all the love she’s received from this community. I even got to share my story on NBC 5 Texas Today. ME?! ON TV?! 🥹 I still can’t believe it.

Yesterday, I came across a post I wrote at the beginning of the year about my favorite phrase: “The world needs your magic,” and everything those words mean to me.

I’ve always loved writing, dreaming, imagining, and turning little ideas into something real. Gansito brought so much joy and inspiration into my life that I started dreaming of bringing her to life beyond crochet, on apparel, alongside a phrase that means so much to me. Not just to make something cute, but to create something with intention and a story.

But chasing your dreams isn’t always easy. There’s so much noise, both outside and inside your own head.

The outside noise can be hard for someone like me, who overthinks everything and cares deeply about the intention behind what I create. When that intention is questioned, it’s hard not to let it get to me.

And then there’s the noise inside my own head. My ADHD brain has a million ideas running in every direction, and sometimes focusing on one thing feels like a challenge of its own. 🙃

But looking back at everything I’ve created reminded me that I can’t let the noise or my doubts make me forget why I started.

I’m still learning to trust myself, celebrate the little wins, and give myself credit for how far I’ve come.

At the end of the day, I don’t want to worry so much about what’s next or what others think that I forget to enjoy the beautiful things happening right in front of me.

The world needs your magic. Don’t let anyone convince you otherwise. 🤍✨

Almost two years ago, I designed a crewneck just for myself and asked a friend to bring it to life. On the sleeve, I added four little words I wanted to carry with me:

“The World Needs Your Magic.” ✨

It was a reminder to trust my hands, trust my ideas, and keep creating even when I wasn’t sure where any of it would lead.

But even back then, I knew I didn’t want that reminder to be just mine.

I wanted you to wear it too. 🥹

Because the things you make matter. The silly ideas matter. The things you dream up in your head and somehow bring to life with your own two hands matter.

So wear your spark. Take up space. Make the weird thing. Dance it out. Keep creating.

Because the world really does need what only you can create.

And now, almost two years later, that little reminder on my sleeve is becoming something you can wear too. 🥹✨
