Winter’s getting colder, so we figured it was time to open the doors a little earlier.

Starting Thursday, 28 May, ANTHM will now be open for lunch every Thursday, Friday & Saturday from 12PM.

Whether it’s a quick escape from work, a long lunch that accidentally becomes dinner, or just popping in to say hi — we’ll be serving our full menu of cocktails, small bites, sharing plates and Japanese entrées all afternoon.

We’ll also be serving tea and coffee supplied by our good friends and neighbours at @yebobaba_coffee , so you can now enjoy your coffee, tea and lunch all in one place.

Tuesday Dinner Special is back.

Every Tuesday, enjoy our dinner special for R390:

🍸 Any cocktail
+
* 🍗 3-piece Kara-Age OR 🥟 3-piece Dumplings
+
* 🍜 A medium Oxtail Shoyu Ramen.

Why R390? In Japanese, the numbers 3 (san) and 9 (kyū) are often combined as “san-kyū,” which sounds like the English phrase “thank you.” It’s a small nod of appreciation to everyone who joins us around the table each week.

Good food. Proper cocktails. A warm bowl of ramen. That’s Tuesday sorted.

Available every Tuesday at ANTHM.

From the raw, genre-spanning songwriting of Jak Tomas to the jazz-rooted, deeply personal sound of Giuliette Price — MAYHM #2 is about hearing music the way we like it: close, live and in the room.

We spent some time at @haute_antiques, one of the places @tetsuohasegawa has frequented over the years and a source for many of the pieces that have found their way into @anthm_bar.

Part of documenting Tetsuo’s world meant stepping outside of the bar and visiting the people and places that have, in their own way, become part of its story.

Haute is one of those places.

Beyond the antiques, there’s a wonderful connection between Tetsuo and Mr Gilles, the man behind Haute. The kind built over time, through a shared appreciation for beautiful things, plenty of conversation and, in Gilles’ case, a very good sense of humour.

“Do what you love to do, and if you don’t love it, you must stop.”

This clip was initially intended to introduce @haute_antiques — a charismatic Frenchman and acquirer of antiques you may have seen scattered throughout @anthm_bar , with @tetsuohasegawa sourcing many of its pieces from Haute.

But the message in that opening statement felt clear enough to carry the entire video: passion comes before anything.

A great day capturing and observing two OGs from different worlds, organically communicating a common love of the game.
