My sweet JJ is the big 1️⃣ today!

I have been a Father for 365 days… sometimes it feels like it just started, other days it feels like it’s been a lifetime.

To my first born daughter who made me a dad, from the moment I helped deliver you from the womb to this world. I knew you were special the second you entered into our lives. Your name lines up perfectly with who you are for these past twelve months. You truly are our double joy baby. As early as I can remember you have smiled. You have a joy that radiates, truly a contagious joy. You love people well, you’re adventurous, you accomplish what you put your mind to, and you do it with a smile.

You change the atmosphere with your presence and joy. The bible says that the joy of the Lord is our strength, so I speak double strength over you. Because you will leave an impact in this world far beyond your imagination.

You will never know how much you have impacted my life in these past twelve months. I wouldn’t be the person I am without you, and I pray that would only grow more and more into what God has called you to be.

Jocelynn Joy is ✨ONE✨!!!

happy birthday to our baby girl who has brought us so much joy this past year. I don’t know that i’ll ever have the words to sum up all that this past year held for me. being a mom has changed my life for the better, i’ve learned & loved beyond what I could ever imagine. Jocelynn you’re our joyful, determined, silly, sweet and beautiful little girl. you have taught us to slow down, be, have fun, learn to take dance breaks, find joy in the little moments again & rediscover life through your eyes. I cannot believe it’s been a year, no matter how many pictures and videos we take it’ll never capture the every day moments we get to have with you. I pray that your joy will be unspeakable, your determination will drive your dreams, your eyes will stay locked on the Lord & that your heart will reflect the love of the Father in all you do.
