These videos were taken by my dad, as I was playing drums with a musical therapist, Peter Muszkiewicz on the guitar, about 3 weeks after I had a stroke. I was stuck in the hospital almost 4 weeks after the stroke recovering my ability to walk, talk clearly, and eat anything. This was 8 months ago.

I am uploading this video, as I played drums at my church, Radiant Church Jackson, every week. For 10 years. It was almost my second job LOL. I loved it. It made my life complete, every time I got to lead the church (what had become) over 1500 people, in worship to the Lord. After the stroke I can’t play drums to where I would need to be to play at church. I can hardly hit the bass pedal, and my right arm is a wet noodle. LOL

This video is being posted as a encouragement to someone who had a stroke, or if you know someone that had one. Some people that had a stroke can’t walk, their hands/arms don’t work, or their brains also are recovering. This video is an encouragement to me that I can still play the drums. I need a LOT of practice.

Both videos are on my YouTube. taken in Mary Free Bed Rehabilitation Hospital by @anthonyapplegate_

Shoutout to Jeff at @virtuedrums in my town of Jackson MI. It’s always so great to stop by, even if I’m not buying anything Jeff is super helpful and always great to chat with. Would highly recommend coming here for drum gear of any type, as well as super super quality custom made drums made by Jeff himself! #drumshop #customdrums taken in VIRTUE Drums by @anthonyapplegate_

Just imagine what all this sounds like, I’m too shy to post a video. Some old gear and some new. @heartbeatpercussion @dreamcymbals #heartbeatcymbals #dreamcymbals #ludwigdrums taken in Jackson, Michigan by @anthonyapplegate_
