After being elated with my effort in last week's workout, today's workout nearly broke me. I mean, it wouldn't be a test of fitness if it didn't also test your weaknesses, right? But about 7 minutes into this - seemingly - simple workout, I nearly broke down into tears of frustration. This workout left me with bleeding hands, a bruised body and a battered ego, but having my girls cheer me on from the sidelines meant so much to me. I genuinely believe the cheers of "Go Dad!" helped me pull my chest to that bar a few more times than I could have without it.

Thank you to @mackay_chad and @adam.pirri at @crossfitactive for helping me go from not being able to do a chest to bar pull up last year, to doing 11 in today's @crossfit Open workout. It's an improvement - I know - but I can't help but feel disappointed. There's one more workout to go, but I'm already thinking ahead to 2026 when I hope to put up numbers for all 3 workouts for which I can be proud. by @anthonyivey
