This was the best NYCC ever. I had so much fun and got to spend time with people who I appreciate very much. From getting to see Jackie, Avery and Liam at the show, to having dinner with close friends and seeing beautiful artwork. It was just a great show from start to finish. :)

A big thank you to everyone at the @sequenceart
Booth for making everything run so smoothly, the folks running the show, and to everyone who stopped by to say hello and pick up some artwork!

Saw a sketch by Stephen Bissette of Swampy and got inspired to play around with one as well!

Doodle on the side of a layout! Side note, I used to love the Swamp Thing cartoon that came with the action figures on VHS as a kid.

Tonight is going to be an absolutely wonderful evening!

It is always special to have the opportunity to take a moment to appreciate the school’s founder, Joe Kubert, and reflect on his impact on the world of comics and narrative art.

I hope to see everyone at the CCM Gallery tonight, October 1st, from 6–8 PM to enjoy this exhibition, and celebrate the legacy of Joe Kubert.

I took this photo on my last day of school as a student at JKS. I loved my time there so much.

For years I would tell people that it was my favorite place in the world. Little did I know where everything would lead me.

But it all started right there with Joe. His impact on the world goes so far beyond the pages of comics and art and I'm forever grateful.

My life, and the lives of so many others are so much better because of him.

A very happy 100th birthday to you, Joe.

It’s a bird, it’s a plane, it’s...a Superman sketch card! Anthony Marques did a couple sketch cards for us back in Denver - here’s the look at his process from blank card to final inks.
