Wanna see what unexpected skill I had to learn to make my projections pop way harder? 🧵✂️
Turns out off-the-shelf screens don’t always cut it on tight stage setups. The fix? Learning how to sew tailor-made screen panels.
1. Measured and stitched custom white fabric panels with reinforced borders.
2. Rigged a 4-panel vertical backdrop directly to the stage truss.
3. Delivered high-contrast projections that punch cleanly through the stage lights.
Bringing these exact panels back to Project Nowhere again this year for round two.

Getting ready for POP Montreal in the basement of the Rialto at Piccolo Rialto! I’m always breaking out the tools to adapt light stands so budget lights can work as proper backlighting, while keeping the whole rig lightweight and easy to carry around. I added metal brackets to the lights so they could be angled as back lighting. 🛠️💡
The result? Total real-time control over both live stage lighting and visual projections all at once. ⚡🎥✨

Solving outdoor sightline issues at Marché des Possibles for Distortion with Population II. 🎥🔥
When the band is playing at ground level, the back half of the crowd gets blocked fast. The fix?
1. Custom visual mapping on the shipping container for the front row.
2. A makeshift “punk rock big screen TV” re-projecting a live camera feed high up on the mural wall so everyone in the back still got a full view.
Speaking of which—I’ve got a show coming up with Atsuko Chiba and I’m gonna try to pull off this exact same punk rock big screen setup so everyone can see what’s up! 📺⚡

Wanna see me eat my first fried Oreo while I do projections at Up Here Fest? 🇨🇦✨
Quick recap of double duty in Sudbury:
1. Set up the rig at Place des Arts to map live projections for an unreal lineup of artists 🎥
2. Closed out the festival on drums with Boutique Feelings 🥁
3. Ate my first fried Oreo in the booth (shoutout Sam Woy for the hookup) 🍪 IT WAS JUST OK AHAHA!

Giving this venue a total facelift for Yoo Doo Right’s album launch. 🛠️✨
Built custom side screens at home (under strict feline supervision) and paired two extra projectors with the house gear to create a full wrap-around visual experience.
