“About Today”

This dance specifically has held such deep meaning to me. I have had this song in my arsenal to use for about 8-9 years now and I have been pushing it off until I felt I was ready to unpack the emotion that came with this piece. Mental health is something a lot of people struggle with on a daily basis and this song to me reflects the importance of such a heavy topic for many.

While having a consistent season of placements from competition to competition, my group ended our regional season on the highest note! Receiving the highest adjudication (within two points of a perfect score) first overall advanced senior large group, AND brought home a choreography award to top it all off! This was my first season with group choreography in the senior division and I cannot be more grateful.

To my dancers: Lexi, Katie, Zoe, Rocco, Saif, Samirah, Zarah, Antonio, Becca, Ava, Amelia, and Teodora. Thank you for an amazing regional season. You brought this piece to life! I can not wait to see this one last time at nationals! Love you all 🤍

This was the experience of a lifetime getting to be apart of the New Jersey stop on this tour!

Thank you @thecrystalenvy for this amazing opportunity and for trusting me to help choreograph and put this piece together!❤️
