Another old spot. Got to help in rebuilding some parts for the engine on the chest and the vehicle at the end. No way I’m taking much credit beyond helping out here and there. There were some insanely talented artists on this who came before me. But I had a lot of fun adding more to push it further. The 3d modeling lead at the time taught me a lot. #vfx #3d #hyundai #superbowl by @anthonysvfx

Throwback Thursday. Back in 2015, I worked on my first Super Bowl commercial at The Mill. The project required us to replace actual sheep heads with fully digital, singing ones. I got to collaborate with some really cool, talented artists, some of whom I’m still close friends with today. There was definitely tension on that job, but it mostly came from everyone just wanting the final product to look amazing. Unrealistic deadlines and clients with the communication skills of a middle schooler were definitely a factor, too. Ultimately, everyone was super passionate about it, and I learned a lot from their dedication to quality. #3danimation #superbowl #sheep by @anthonysvfx

Back in 2012 I made the move from Seattle to LA. This was the first job I had when I got here. With New Deal Studios, who then let me help on Interstellar. This project took way longer than normal, but it kept me employed for a while. I remember being on set as they filmed all the miniatures. It was so damn cool. Met some really great close friends I’m still hang out with to this day. #vizio #film #3d by @anthonysvfx

One of my first projects out of college back in 2009. I desperately needed a demo reel. I had zero guidance, low on rent money. So I decided to come up with 3 fake commercials and make 3-5 shots out of those ideas. And then combine them into a short demo reel. This was my first one. The goal was really to demonstrate I could do basic 3d modeling, animation, shading, light and composite. I had a intous 4 and ran with that. Took the audio from my favorite Lexus ad that Digital Domain did a long time ago. Let me know if you’d like to see more old jenky ass projects. #throwbackthursday #throwback #intous by @anthonysvfx

Almost 12 years ago. One of the first animated commercials I ever worked on professionally when I was early on in my VFX career. I remember feeling so damn cool. #3d #animation #colgate #vfx by @anthonysvfx
