Reposted from @nirakknif It is here!
My book called "The Anthroponaut's Wordbook - Art, science and a vital Anthropocene" is published by @postmediabooks @gianniromano !

🌟
The book is responding to the call of the epoch we live in, declared by science as #anthropocene. It responds to a call to change models of thought, habits and patterns that lead to the depleation of nature.
I think that most often, change is happening when different mindsets meet - this is why the books aims at creating connections and conversations between scientific concepts or findings and art and artistic practice.

The illustrations are made by the greatest community I can imagine- the @anthroponauts #anthroponautdoodles

The @anthroponauts doodles are a part of the a wonderful group exhibition in Venice!!
👇🏼💚❤💙🙏🏼👇🏼
Reposted from @atoposvenice For the first edition of our annual international Open Call THE CREATIVE ROOM, it was impossible not to somehow address the pandemic and its impact over our routines and practices. That was the core motivation to present artists with the challenge ‘How to recreate oneself?’.⁣⁣
⁣⁣
A very captivating response given by artists who went beyond their practice as a sole creative to engender dialogue either with fellow artists physically unreachable for the time being or with the spectators, actively participating in the creative process. ⁣⁣
⁣⁣
Beyond its relevance for cultural democracy, socially engaged artists have been playing a precious role in this current crisis. They have been engaging, empowering, connecting and expanding their audience, helping this entire net to cope with the solitude imposed by social distancing measures. ⁣⁣
⁣⁣
Building Bridges gathers artists who, through different ideas, resources and strategies to motivate the spectator, used the online realm and its tools and channels to do exactly what the exhibition title refers to - to build bridges and to generate exchange. ⁣

a.topos Venice is pleased to present THE CREATIVE ROOM, an original initiative created by the Curatorial Collective to promote emerging creatives, following the CC’s commitment to enhance their visibility by providing an exhibition space to selected artists in the venetian contemporary art scene. ⁣⁣
⁣⁣
In this OPEN CALL first edition, we are inviting participants to send proposals that address a challenge imposed by the exceptional reality of lockdown and social distancing during the COVID-19 pandemic: How to recreate oneself? Exercising the gaze towards the outside? Repositioning self as subject/object? Share your artwork with us so that we can convert our gallery in an extension of your own CREATIVE ROOM. ⁣⁣

The year 2021 will be the year of the Anthroponauts!
Dearest @nomen_est_omen__ created a calender for 365 days of resistance&resilience, of respect for other beings, of healthy relations with whom and with what is surrounding us, with all of that beautiful web of life.

A sometimes it is hard to not loose hope, this is a sign shining so bright along the path...

Thank you so much!

Tools of the Mind
///.
Good morning dears…

We arrived at day 52. What a number. 52 cards in a playing deck. 52 weeks in a year…
Today, we look at tools of the mind.
It could be strategies, ways of planning, maps, approaches, mental techniques, hypnosis… Or just imagine the vast section of self-help literature in your favourite bookshop!

Actually today, we return to the very beginning of our journey. Remember the the intro of my book where I wrote: Once we start to describe the world through data, scientific models, artwork and music, we create the world. The way we think about the world shapes how the world becomes...
On the one hand, being an Anthroponaut means contributing to change in real life - but it also means working on one's own view of the world, ones very own state of the mind.
And now, here, of course, we should mention one of the oldest techniques to work on our state of mind: Meditation…. These days, the practice of meditating was very important to many people. The Fondation Beyeler understood this need and they offer art meditations - guided meditation based on an artwork. Very beautiful and amazingly deep…. Some artists also make meditation a part of their practice. Jeppe Hein for example does breathwork in his collective artwork called “Breathe With Me”. You can also always join him on Instagram these days! It is quite nice :) Now, I wonder what kind of techniques you use as tools for your mind, for your soul…. Please send your doodle showing your tools of mind in a high resolution to anthroponauts@gmail.com
Also it would be nice if you share it on here tagging @anthroponauts #anthroponaut #anthroponautdoodle

Now, the moment is there to take farewell…

Thank you - from the bottom of my heart - it was a wonderful time we spent together… But as we learn through meditating, sometimes, you have to let go of things and just become part of the flow…

So good to know, that out there, all of you walk this Earth being curious Anthroponauts!
kiss, kiss, love, love and ... ciaooo! ❤❤❤
