Thomas Page was born on September 29, 1910, in New York City. After high school, he worked as a bootlegger and model, until becoming an organizer with the Unemployed Councils and joined the Communist Party USA. He arrived in Spain on April 8, 1937. He served with the Abraham Lincoln Brigade until he was wounded in action.

Thomas returned to the US on December 20, 1938. He served in the US Army during WWII. After the war, he took up photography and camera repair while working for the Bell Telephone Company. He was interviewed and featured in the documentary, The Good Fight (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f_G_JkaTlBU&t=26s)

When U.S. citizen Sam Tunick returned to Atlanta from a vacation abroad, he didn't expect to be detained by ICE. He's not been involved in anything criminal. But after withstanding hours of demands to access his phone, Sam gave them a code that wiped his phone clean. And now he's facing felony charges on that. The International Anti-Fascist Defence Fund made a large-ish contribution to his legal defense fund.
