Welcome to the ƄƤnen Lumo concert in Toinen kerros on Monday the 19th! This time we are excited to have John Chantler performing solo with electronics. Another performance will be done by Andrea Mancianti who will present his work, ā€œI am lostā€ which explores feedback of resonating systems. John Chantler is a musician and organiser living in Stockholm, Sweden working with synthesis and exploring the aesthetic implications of different infrastructure for electronic music performance. Originally from Australia he spent a decade in London before moving to Sweden in 2014 where he has directed an annual festival for ā€˜other musicā€™ in Stockholm calledĀ EditionĀ and runsĀ FƶnstretĀ ā€” releasing music by local artists and surfacing material from the festivalā€™s archives. Andrea Mancianti is a composer, performer and sound artist mostly devoted to experimental sonic arts. He studied composition and music technology and completed the IRCAM Cursus in Paris (2013-2014). Currently heā€™s a Doctoral candidate in the department of Media, of Aalto University, Helsinki, researching how an ecosystemic approach to technology could contribute to a networked, collective understanding of artistic activity in Sonic practices. Time: Monday 19.5. at 19.00 (doors at 18.30) Place: Toinen kerros, Nokiantie 2-4, Helsinki Price: 5-10-15 e @johnchantler @antimanciand by @antimanciand

Today I came back to the pretty amazing @debijloke to install a special version of Autophagy III together with #tomdecock for the festival ear to the ground, which is on this Saturday. The installation will be ongoing (among other amazing things) from 16 to 23, but at 21:30 we are also playing in it. Come say hi! by @antimanciand
Autophagy III is een klankinstallatie met feedback-driven percussieinstrumenten. Ook muzikanten gaan in dialoog met de installatie. Wie precies en wanneer dan wel? Dat hangt volledig af van de sfeer en inspiratie van het moment. Op en top Ear To The Ground! Some pictures of moons and planets from our reworked version of Autophagy III, in @oortreders_festival, Pelt. Tomorrow evening we open and the installation will run by itself and on Saturday and Sunday, we'll also perform two sets in it. With the one and only #tomdecock. by @antimanciand
Still a few days to see #wearandtear in @antifestival . I made a sonic reactive table, a system of talking boxes and an "ouverture" made from the sonic materials collected during a number of workshops on memory and loss, material agency and decay. To them I added a few sounds from my beloved rescue harmonium... I'll try to publish some of it later. It has been a beautiful journey out of my comfort zone. But here it is, full of love, emotions and small objects. ā¤ļø Ps: in the last picture i was practicing my disappearing trick... šŸŖ„ by @antimanciand
First small recording in my new studio (let's call it a work in progress). I'm working on a short sonic introduction to Wear and tear, an installation we are making together with @emmavilina and @_robertofusco for @antifestival. This piece, about memory and loss, is made entirely of materials recorded during a number of workshops, where participants brought and let resound dear objects of theirs. I added this rescue harmonium, in itself full of memories, not all happy (it even had a lost children songbook stuck in the harmonic box...ā¤ļø) We are presenting it next week in Kuopio! by @antimanciand
