[Stop AI generating, Keep real art alive.]
For this MV the theme of puppeteering stood out to me from the first second I listened to the song. So we decided to try something different. The goal was to find a real puppeteer with their own marionette dolls and skills, in order create a Pinocchio esque story wherein Klyffe creates and brings to life a “perfect partner”. One that would love him unconditionally when he wasn’t near. Rather than a happy ending, we realise throughout the MV that there’s a monkeys paw in his wish. The closer they get, the worse their relationship becomes. Showing that you can’t create a perfect relationship.

There’s something raw and authentic about being able to film an art like that in person, and it was an experience we’ll probably never forget. We also lucked out heavily on the fact that he also had an authentic grungy workshop in his backyard that gave us the chance to film on a set that didn’t need any production design. So ye overall really grateful for the opportunity, really grateful to @watiri.png as well. The choreography we needed for the first section of the MV required some ballet skills and unbeknownst to us, she actually had 15 years of training and experience in Ballet, so it was pretty insane getting to film something like that for the first time.

Overall really happy with how the MV came out, and as always, this is just the beginning. Here’s to the continued evolution of our craft🤞🏾❤️
