It’s official! I broke a new Guinness World Record.
47,460 mangrove trees planted in 24 hours.

This was one of the hardest things I’ve ever done, physically and mentally.

Behind me, there was a team.
People organizing everything so I could focus on planting.
People counting every tree and witnessing the whole day.
Holding cameras and lights through the night.
Feeding me, supporting me, making sure I stayed present.
Singing, dancing, cheering me on when it got hard.

I was the only one planting.
But this record exists because of everyone around me.

And this wasn’t just about speed.
Over the days leading up to this, I learned from mangrove experts and the local community how to do this the right way.
Planting the right species, at the right density, at the right time.

This was bigger than a world record. It was about people, impact, and doing it the right way.

Grateful for all of it 🌱

After 10 years and 2 million trees through the Canadian Forestry I now plant solely for environmental purposes and I’m glad that I was able to make the shift in the past couple of years. I now help companies restore Canadian forests through authentic action, real tree planting, and organic storytelling watched by millions. I’m very proud of this and I hope you’ll resonate with my mission and want to take part in🙌

A tree can be replanted, but a thousand year old forest cannot be replaced.

These forests hold centuries of life, carbon, history and biodiversity. Once they are logged, planting seedlings somewhere else does not undo what was lost.

We need restoration, but we also need to protect the ancient forests still standing.

I’ve been focusing on planting trees and still want to. Although I’m aware of what was lost and will make my best to protect what I can.

Coldplay is planting one tree for every ticket sold.

That’s millions of trees, and I want to help put them in the ground.

I’ve planted over 2 million trees by hand, set world records in the dirt, and built Antomos to restore real forests with real crews. I’d love to work with them💪

Last weekend I visited this ancient forest valley that was recently logged. This was an eye opening experience and devastating scenery. It was once a beautiful untouched valley full of ancient trees, wildlife habitat, creeks and rivers running down and one of most beautiful fall I’ve ever seen on Vancouver Island. It’s hard to comprehend how this is still legal. This valley could have been a national park with better scenery than a lot of protected parks that exist today.   Now it’s too late, this valley is logged, river, creeks and wildlife habitat completely destroyed. They have already planned staged two of this operation to come back and logged the top of the valley by helicopters.   They even cut down one of the largest Yellow Cedar tree in Canada, which was large enough to be protected.

The logging was done on Crown land (with the approval of the provincial government) the area was logged by Capacity forest management working for Matchlee General Partner Ltd.

I went into Black Creek valley to see what was left after it was logged.

Massive stumps. Ancient trees cut down. An entire landscape changed.

Seeing the scale of it in person hits differently.

You can see the morning scenery of fog rolling in the valley covering the cutblocks

We can’t bring these trees back. But we can fight to protect the ancient forests that are still standing.

For years, I measured success by how many trees I could plant and how hard I could push myself.

I loved the job, but I rarely stopped to question the bigger purpose behind what I was doing.

Losing Izzy changed my relationship with planting forever. Returning to break the world record and raise money for her memorial scholarship was the first time my performance felt connected to something much bigger than myself.

It also forced me to question what kind of future I wanted my planting to help create.

I eventually understood that putting a tree in the ground does not automatically mean restoring an ecosystem. The species, the location, the local communities, the purpose and what happens afterward all matter.

That realization led me to explore restoration projects around the world and eventually create Antomos.

I am still learning. I am still questioning. But today, I finally know why I plant.

This journey was full of ups and downs but it lead me here and I’m very grateful for the opportunity that I have to help our planet. I built a beautiful community online and I want to be able to create a positive impact and grow towards a better future. I know there’s multiple ways to help our planet but this is mine and I’ll stick to it because I love it 🙏

Different Speed too 🥲 but that doesn’t matter when you plant to restore.

I used to plant trees in forestry, which are mostly productive forests with no restoration purposes.

Now I focus on restoring biodiversity, wildlife habitat, and ecosystems. This is very fulfilling and it's an amazing journey I'm on, especially by showcasing it online and creating the largest tree planting community in the world

I spent years planting millions of trees in the forestry industry. Today, I’m building something of my own, a tree planting program focused on funding real restoration projects around the world 🌱

My path has changed a lot along the way, but I’ve learned that sometimes you have to trust yourself enough to leave what you know and build what you truly believe in.

There’s still a long way to go, and I’m only getting started.
