POSTS STORIES REELS

My work isn’t just about creating a painting—it’s about honoring a moment, elevating it, and offering something lasting and deeply personal.

When my friend Peter @peterhwatts offered to shoot some footage of me at work, his goal was simple: to understand the why behind what I do.

In many ways, this is my mission.

As 2024 wrapped up, so did my first year as a full-time artist and wedding painter.

24 magnificent weddings, across multiple states and an oversees destination, was honestly not expected for my first year in this incredible field.

I am beyond grateful to all of my phenomenal couples for trusting in me, support from friends & family, and my fellow painters that recommended me. Love you all!

I’m so excited for a New Year of continued growth, innovation, and new experiences! Cheers to 25’ 🥂

TREVOR & ALYSSA
17” x 24”, Oil on linen

When Trevor reached out to me to paint his Wedding, I could immediately tell he was in search of something special to surprise his beautiful Bride, Alyssa.

We spoke many times leading up to the Wedding, secretly discussing the vision and plotting the surprise.

Trevor had initially envisioned an outdoor scene, but the rainy weather had other plans for us. Luckily the stunning interiors of the historic mansion at @hayfieldcounteyclub made for the perfect setting.

I’m always looking for moments of drama, and although there were many, I managed to capture a candid moment between the couple, right after their first look, and just minutes before walking down the aisle.

Trevor wanted to incorporate their dog Cleo and their late cat Pharaoh, which I used to frame the couple as their physical and spiritual guardians. With Trevor being such an avid Star Wars fan, I also took the creative liberty to reimagine the carpet pattern and sneak in motifs of Tai Fighters and X-Wings.

Arranging this composition was a joy, and I even went back to the venue to paint from life. This painting inspired me to revisit an old ‘friend’ - Johannes Vermeer (Dutch, 1632–1675), whose work I had not spent time studying in a while.

Thank you Trevor for entrusting me to be your painter, and for the opportunity to continue growing as an artist, one paint stroke at a time.

Daniella & Alex
18” x 24”
Oil on canvas

This painting was delivered to the couple right in time for Rosh Hashana - the Jewish New Year. I just love how that worked out..

The message from the couple brought tears of joy to my eyes:

“…it is beautiful beyond words. We are absolutely blown away and can’t stop looking at it. It means so much to us, and we know we’ll treasure it for the rest of our lives.”

Happy Anniversary to this immaculate couple..

Julia and Andreas
Oil on linen, 18” x 24”

A portrait commissioned by the groom’s mother as a gift to the newlyweds — painted to capture the two of them exactly as they were in this moment.

Some couples are simply made to be painted. Thank you for giving me the opportunity 🖼️

The creative process, #BehindTheScenes

Hand-crafted from beginning to end. Painting isn’t just about the final product - it’s about the time, care, and craftsmanship that goes into it… clean up included!

Jordan & Jay
Oil on linen, mounted on panel
18” x 24”

It felt like stepping into a simpler time. On a hot summer day out in the Mississippi countryside, these two said “I do” on the steps of an adorable chapel that had been lovingly hand-built by the landowner’s grandfather. It very much felt like a sacred space, holding generations of stories before theirs became part of it.

This painting definitely put me to the test - not only was the Mississippi heat a challenge, but I found myself making so many back and forth adjustments throughout the studio process. I just had to get it right.

In the end, this painting was worth every drop of sweat. Thank you Jordan @hilaryjordann and Jay, and of course to Haley @haleyjasmine, the sister of the bride, who made it all happen behind the scenes!

Christening the newest painting ✨

A final layer of varnish preserves every detail and brings out the painting’s original shine and luster.
There’s something so special about turning a once in a lifetime moment into a timeless work of art.

Can’t wait to share this piece. by @anton_paints

The grandest backdrop for the grandest love story 🏛️ @georgepeabodylibrary

It was truly an honor to take on this ambitious project, and I’m so grateful to my incredible couple for trusting in me.

My goal was to create a timeless work of art that captured both an intimate, gentle moment shared by the newlyweds, and the grandeur of one of the world’s most beautiful historic libraries.

Live wedding painting isn’t just about the final piece, it’s about preserving the feeling of the day as it’s happening: the movement, the emotion, the atmosphere you can almost step back into.

Ellie & Michael, what a delight it was to paint your story. 🤍

Brittany and Callen
18” x 24” oil on linen

Brittany and Callen had a clear vision—to capture the grandeur of the Virginia landscape and the majesty of the Blue Ridge Mountains. From the start, they spoke about wanting the landscape to be central to the painting, with themselves dwarfed by its scale.

In describing that, they were touching on the tradition of ‘staffage’ —a niche where figures live within the landscape rather than compete with it. It immediately resonated, and from there I set out to create something original in that spirit.

It was a perfect November day, and that sense of drama—the shifting light, the depth of color, the sheer scale of the view—found its way into the final piece.

Nicole and Andy
16” x 20”
Oil on linen

Some weddings stay with you because they feel unmistakably true to the couple.

Nicole and Andy began their wedding day with a beautiful morning hike at Patapsco State Park

✨ the first time I’ve seen a wedding day start on the trail
🥾 the first time I’ve seen a bride, @nicole_shires, hike in her wedding dress and boots
🌺 the first time a bride created her own florals from start to finish—grown, dried, and arranged by hand

This painting holds what felt most essential about them: two lifelong friends, outdoor adventurers at heart, carrying a shared history into a day that unfolded exactly as they are—grounded, thoughtful, and quietly extraordinary.

It was a joy to paint this piece from start to finish, and it even gave me the opportunity to spend a few mornings painting at that very same spot along the trail. Doesn’t get better than that.

Shoutout to my partner in crime @steadyandsway
