“education is our passport to the future, for tomorrow belongs to the people who prepare for it today.” — Malcolm X

to my mother, grandmothers & sisters: thank you for showing me what educated black women look like. thank you for being my first examples of strength, grace, perseverance and excellence. because of you, i always knew that there was power in education and beauty in ambition. every sacrifice, every prayer, every word of encouragement carried me through this journey. i hope i’ve made y’all proud & happy mother’s day! 💐💜

as of yesterday, May 9th, 2026, i officially became an alumna of the largest and #1 public hbcu in the nation, North Carolina Agricultural & Technical State University! i feel so much gratitude in this moment & saying that is such a surreal feeling 👩🏾‍🎓

THANK YOU GOD FOR EVERYTHING! for every closed door that redirected me, every obstacle that strengthened me and every blessing that reminded me that your plans are always greater than my own. i can’t wait to see where you take me on this next journey. 🙌🏾

with aggie pride,

studied life, now i’m living mine 🧬

in just 10 days, i will graduate from thee illustrious North Carolina Agricultural & Technical State University! words i truly once thought i would never even fix my lips to say. THANK YOU GOD!

to my beloved Barnes Hall, my home away from home. thank you for the long nights, the early mornings, the laughs, the tears & every lesson learned within those walls. to the study groups that turned into friendships and the friendships that turned into family… y’all got me through! i will love y’all forever! thank you for the motivation, the prayers, the support & the memories i’ll carry with me for a lifetime.

thank you all for molding me into the leader i stand as today. every challenge shaped me, every setback strengthened me & every victory reminded me that God’s timing is always perfect. this journey was not easy, but it was so worth it. the girl who once doubted herself is now walking into her next chapter with faith, confidence & gratitude.

M.D. to be…
