The signing.

There are two things I still find hard to believe to this date about this shoot.

One being how grateful I am to be entrusted to shoot Manni and Tanya's signing ceremony. One take, for a hot sunny summers morning, meeting all their key family members and to finally witness first hand become official.
After all that's happenned in the past year and how quickly we became close, even being asked by them was a huge honour for me.

The second being able to see the shots get printed for their wedding in Thailand, in the largest size I have ever seen my work in real life (alongside some incredible work from @noni.img).

In the incredible and historical Blues Point, this was a shoot that needed to connect the environment and the lovers together. The bridge, Opera house, the water and the heritage structures of the area were all features which made this shoot one of the most fun but challenging to date. Combined with the harsh day light and heat (I was drenched by the end of it), this one is definitely for the memories.

Colour challenge blue ed.

This helped me overcome feeling somewhat uninspired and creatively a bit tired early on in my trip

To quote a short comic I read recently, while I may not be able to full express the world around me in the details it deserves, capturing it has made me notice the little details in life.

Someone once told me that the colour blue only ever appears naturally at a distance, and disappearing as we get closer. Maybe that's why we feel blue when we see something we want, but can never reach it.

But maybe blue is everywhere, we just need to look that little bit harder 🔎

the hardest part of self care is enjoying the quiet

finding beauty in the little moments

the gentle sway of a lamp, or admiring sound quality of the bookshelf speakers

or just a moment to gather the thoughts from all the head noise of the week

my weekends used to be chaotic, rushed and over before I knew it

quiet Sunday mornings at a new cafe remind me to take things a little bit slower

And that there's always something to look forward to at the end of the week
