🌻Turned 28 yesterday.

This year is about returning to my essence. Before the world taught me to be anything other than exactly who I am. Before fear, heartbreak, expectations, survival, or other people’s perceptions had a say.

I want to get back to her. The version of me that moved through the world instinctively. Curious, sensitive, creative, loving, loud, a little weird, and completely herself.

I know the person I want to show up as every day now. My only job is to stand behind her ten toes down and keep choosing her. In the way I love, the way I create, the way I care for myself, the people I allow close to me, and the life I’m building.

28 is about alignment. Not becoming somebody new. Becoming more of who I’ve always been.

This birthday feels like returning to a familiar feeling, a hug I used to sink into, the scent of Sunday mornings,a moment of silence.
This morning I woke up to find that I had made it out the other side. While at a point the light was a small pinpoint that felt more like the memory of it, today and tomorrow, I’m bathed in light. I’m wearing it as a coat to my next destination. I relearned how to live. Im relearning how to love. Taking as much as I give. As I look backward just once before running into the arms of uncertainty. I see the seeds I’ve planted growing into trees, the tears from my eyes flow into oceans, and my voice sounds like that of 100. im reminded that every time I showed up, I strengthened the ground beneath me. In year 25 I’ll stand on it with all my weight, all my grief , all my hope, all my ambition, all of me. Thank you Toni for always creating with me
