Lights and mist by Big Ben…

Woke up early to see how the morning mist and fog would show up in the city. The fog came a bit later but the early mist in the air had an atmosphere of its own 😊 taken in London, United Kingdom by @antronoid

What I see 🤝 What I take: Rome Edition

🏛️ From the Pantheon to the streets of Rome, there’s details everywhere you look. In this case I really loved the fine details on the ceiling of the Pantheon.

It kinda blows my mind a bit to think of the handiwork that went into that ceiling many hundreds of years ago.

🔥 Likewise, when exploring the streets of Rome, every so often the light will hit in just the right spot, and in turn, it gets my little photographer heart very excited!

And then finally finding fine details on the horizon. Now, I’m not a religious guy, but I loved how these crosses all quite neatly aligned together against the sunset.

Who knew that Tate Britain had some pretty staircases? 👀

Not me! This was a lovely surprise. And here I thought I’d just be seeing Whistler’s Mother.

Definitely another set of staircases to add to your bucket list if you’re around London!

Climbing these stairs felt like stepping into a fairytale… 🫠

Formally called the Renaissance Hotel, this hotel located by St. Pancras Station is home to this magnificent 3-story staircase.

Armed with my RF14mm 1.4 lens I climbed up and down to see what sort of shots I could capture within.

Absolutely adored the differing details from the intricate carpets, the patterns on the walls to the colours on the ceiling. This staircase truly has it all!

London waking up through the fog… 📸

Woke up at 4am to take this shot this morning as I wanted to try and catch the fog. It started off quite misty and eventually the fog slowly set in, atleast for a bit!

But this puddle had me doing a double take, so perfectly positioned to get this moody reflection shot… ☺️

Looking closer into shots that I see usually means I take something that goes beyond what my original vision revealed.

London is espeically great for this. The landmarks are visually imposing on the city but when taking a closer look, you realise how much detail is hidden in plain sight!

Photos from around the V&A East Storehouse, one of London’s newest museums.

Located in Stratford, the Storehouse is quite unique in the sense that it’s a working museum. The exhibits on display are, as the name suggests, in storage, but the way they are displayed is truly unique.

As you wander around the museum, you’re able to get up close and personal with the exhibits, nothing between you and the art.

I didn’t do this but you can even request to see special exhibits up close if you so desire.

And the architecture itself is almost as beautiful as the works on display. Three floors that you can explore all set within this industrial modern container. I definitely had fun taking photos around there!

What I see 🤝 What I take…

This time sharing a few different shots from exploring around St Paul’s Cathedral, one of London’s most iconic landmarks, which looks spectacular in the autumn!

In this case, the original wide shot was quite nice, however I especially loved how the cathedral was framed by the surrounding autumnal trees.

What I really wanted to capture was the fine details of the spire isolated by the surrounding trees.
