Ever sit on a dream so long it got comfortable?

That's what I was doing. Not struggling with it. Not fighting it. Just sitting, with a real good reason every single time to stay put.

Writing a book about that now. It's called Don't Be An Assethole.

What are you sitting on?

Getting Ready For The Next Show With Paul Lauden.

*******

FUTUREWAVE just added another reason to join us next Friday! 🎤🎶

I’m excited to share that comedian Antwon Lincoln will perform a special comedy set during intermission at FUTUREWAVE on Friday, August 28, at University Club San Diego.

Antwon brings a unique perspective shaped by 31 years in education — which, depending on the day, may have felt like either a career or, on the tougher days, a sentence. Just kidding! We know students never treated him like a substitute teacher. 😉

Antwon’s comedy draws from real-life experience, including race, marriage, culture, and decades of classroom material. He has performed at The Comedy Store (La Jolla) and Mad House Comedy Club, and we’re excited to welcome him to an already fun evening featuring live music by Maverick SD, neon 80s energy, downtown views, comedy, and community impact.

This Charity Classic event benefits the Invited Foundation and STEAM Futures Foundation, supporting stronger communities and brighter futures through education, opportunity, mentorship, and real-world learning experiences.

If you’ve been thinking about attending, don’t wait — the FOMO will be real.

Today’s the day. Thanks for the support. by @antwonlincoln

30+ years ago I walked off a comedy stage to spend my career in education.
Last week, I walked back on.
May 12 is my official first stand-up set in three decades — at The Comedy Store La Jolla.
Walking away from comedy wasn’t really a career decision. It was fear, dressed up as a smart adult choice. That same voice kept me sitting on a book for 20 years — a book about exactly that voice, and how it keeps capable people stuck. Don’t Be An Assethole. Coming soon.
Drop your email and I’ll send you the ticket link 👇

Trying to figure this thing out🤣🤣 by @antwonlincoln

I just got back. My wife had some things to say about me posting. I Googled myself and… who is that? We need to talk again.
Sometimes the obstacles aren't just in your head.

This is the voice.
The one that shows up every time you're about to try something.
It sounds like reason. Like protection. Like wisdom.
It's not.
The walk begins Monday.
