HULU SELANGOR HALF MARATHON 2026 🇲🇾🏃‍♂️ 21.1 KM | 330M Elevation Gain (GPX)⏱️ 1:23:06 (Half Marathon Personal Best)🥉 3rd Place – Men’s Malaysian CategoryAlhamdulillah 🤲What a way to start June with a new half marathon personal best.I came into this race with a training mindset rather than performance expectations. Looking at the course profile, I knew it would be a challenging day, with long climbs making up a large portion of the route. To be honest, I didn’t think I had enough mileage in my legs to run this kind of time, especially averaging only around 30 km per week.That’s why this result feels even more meaningful. My body felt strong, comfortable, and in control throughout the race. More importantly, it gave me confidence that there’s still plenty of room to improve. If I can run 1:23 on a tough hilly course, I’m excited to see what’s possible on a faster and flatter route.One thing I made sure to do for this race was fuel properly, and it made a huge difference. Thank you to @dever.malaysia and @larilahmy for helping me keep my energy levels up so my body could perform at its best.A big thank you to everyone who has been supporting my journey. Your encouragement means a lot and continues to push me forward. This race also made me wonder how much faster I could become if I dedicated more focus to road running. Back-to-back race weekend done ✅JANDA BAIK ULTRA 2026 🇲🇾14KM A CATEGORY🥈 2nd Place Overall🕣 1:06:15This race was never about chasing a perfect result. It was more about training my body and mind for the upcoming SEATRC in Jakarta this July 🇮🇩After giving everything during the Vertical Kilometre race yesterday, my legs definitely felt heavier today, especially during the climbs. But I still decided to push through and treat this race as part of the process towards representing Malaysia again 🇲🇾Grateful to still secure 2nd place overall, but deep inside I know there’s still much more in me and I know I can run faster.
