HOW WORSHIPPING GOD SHOULD TRANSFORM US:

“But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as by the Spirit of the Lord.”
‭‭II Corinthians‬ ‭3‬:‭18‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

WORSHIPPING GOD SHOULD MAKE US HUMBLE
A genuine encounter with the glory, majesty, and splendour of God should produce deep humility in our hearts. When we catch even a glimpse of who God truly is, we cannot help but recognise how small we are in the presence of His greatness.

“Great is the LORD, and greatly to be praised; And His greatness is unsearchable.”
‭‭Psalms‬ ‭145‬:‭3‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

Throughout Scripture, we see this response in the lives of Moses, Isaiah, Jeremiah, Peter, the Apostle John, and countless others who encountered the majesty of God. Their experiences remind us that encountering God is never an opportunity to exalt ourselves; rather, it is an invitation to bow in reverence, awe, and humility before Him.

If the sight of God’s magnificent creation can leave us overwhelmed with wonder, how much more should an encounter with the Creator Himself humble our hearts?

This is why it is essential that we worship God through the lens of the Gospel. Nothing confronts our pride quite like standing at the foot of the cross and recognising the price Jesus paid for our redemption. The cross reminds us that our salvation was not something we could earn or achieve by our own strength, goodness, or righteousness. God Himself made the ultimate sacrifice to redeem us from our rebellion against Him.

True worship, therefore, leaves no room for pride, self-righteousness, or a sense of superiority. Instead, it fills our hearts with gratitude, reverence, and a profound awareness of God’s amazing grace.

I am a worshipper of God not because I have earned the privilege of worshipping Him, but because Jesus died and rose again to reconcile me to God and make me His own.

May our worship continually remind us of who God is, who we are before Him, and how much we depend on His grace. The more we behold His greatness, the less room there should be for pride in our hearts. WGWA drops tomorrow👌

THE DOCTOR, MY TODDLERS, AND THE TEST OF HONOUR! 😅🤦🏽‍♀️

So, remember when I said I was going to share the not-so-good experience I had with a Doctor last week? Well, here we go! 😂

Sometime last week, after picking up my boys from school, I decided to take them to see a Doctor. My almost two-year-old had symptoms of a cold, my second son had a rash on his knee, and my oldest had a blister on his ear.

Three boys. Three different complaints. One Mum. You can imagine! 😂😂

Eventually, it was our turn to see the Doctor. As we made our way to his office, my baby’s nose suddenly started running. That was when I remembered that the bag containing the tissue paper was still in the car. 😩

Now, imagine having THREE TODDLERS with you at the hospital. How exactly was I supposed to leave all three children behind to run to the car? Or take all three of them back to the car just to get tissue? I started looking around for a nurse who could help me with some cotton wool or tissue, but I couldn’t find anyone.

We finally got into the Doctor’s office. After exchanging pleasantries, I asked my boys to occupy two seats close to the door while I sat directly opposite the Doctor.

Now, if you are a fellow Mum of ALL BOYS, please gather here! 🙋🏽‍♀️😂 You already know that getting these boys to sit still for more than two minutes can sometimes feel like a miracle!

My boys didn’t disappoint. They were up and about in no time!

But here is something you should know: this wasn’t the first time I had taken my children to the hospital. And in all our previous visits, the Doctors we encountered had always been patient enough to answer their questions.

My boys would touch things in the consulting room, ask what they were, inquire about the Doctor’s name, and generally satisfy their curiosity about everything around them. Whenever I tried to caution them, the Doctors would smile and remind me that they were only being children.

But this particular Doctor? Hmmm. This was a completely different experience!

The first thing he said to me was, “Get something to clean his nose.”

He was referring to my baby, whose nose was still running.

I explained that I couldn’t because the tissu by @anutundun

I had a wonderful time in church today! 🙏🏽✨

The message centred on “The Three Cardinal Principles of Honour and the Litmus Test of Honour.” Some of the things my Pastor shared particularly resonated with me, especially his emphasis on honour as a principle and a Kingdom culture—one that should serve as our guiding compass, regardless of our emotions, how we feel in the moment, or the circumstances we find ourselves in.

That part struck a chord with me because I had a rather funny, yet not-so-pleasant encounter with a doctor last week. 😅 It was an experience that brought this message to life for me in a very personal way.

I’ll share the full story later in the week. 👀

Until then, let us remember that honour is not just about how we treat people when we feel good; it is about the values we uphold even when our emotions are tested.

Stay gracious. Stay principled. Be Honourable! ❤️

A moment with my Lover after our first service, today🥰😍😘

My favorite moment in every Sunday Service…Meanwhile, Miss Rhoda is so pretty🤗

“Therefore, God elevated him to the place of highest honor and gave him the name above all other names, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue declare that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.”

Words are not enough to celebrate you Dad. I remember when I told you in 2018 that my Mum wanted to build, you got an Architecht and told him what you wanted. You were intentional about every detail of the design. When it was time to build, my Mum didn’t have to worry about the Artisans, Daddy recommended all of them. I mean they left Ilorin to work in Lagos. By April 2019, my Mum moved into her new home. I also remember how Daddy recommended me on so many occasions. I can’t forget how you pushed me to releasing excellent sounds in 2019 & 2024(Iye, Better Days, Reward & Olulana in 2024). I remember how Daddy would listen to each song and give a constructive criticism. Daddy would joke about it. I remember the first production of Better days, when Daddy listened he said “Anu this song is sounding like OMO Advert”. I was like eh Jesus. At this point I had to change my Producer and guess what I found a Producer who could interpret the song differently. The next time Daddy listened to the song, he loved it👉🏾

Mummy would say “Anu, Daddy loves your song so much, he has been playing it everywhere in the house”. Daddy is so intentional about his Children. He fathers me with so much love and intentionality. I love the way you Father me, Sir.

Your words are intentional, the Blessings you pronounce over me have changed my life and location. It is become an hedge round about me and mine. Thank you Daddy. Wishing you a happy birthday, Sir. Long Life is yours, your Light keeps shining and shining and you will never know a better yesterday in Jesus Name.

Thank you so much Apostle, I love you, Sir. by @anutundun

One thing about JMD & Co. the connection never gets old. We came together, caught up, laughed, networked, and simply had a great time.
