-the queens puppet- a puppet inspired jester character in a frame similar to a theatre set. the hands lay stiff, almost as though being controlled by the invisible puppet master behind the scenes. painting was heavily inspired by medieval design, painted entirely with oils by @anuva.j

-prude- hand sculpted and cast in herculite, each hare is a unique interpretation of my original character. sold at the multiples fair with @camberwellfineartdrawing

-she’ll do the things you’re too scared to do.
don’t be such a prude.
she’ll take on your shame.
live a little.
think of her when you do.
don’t be such a prude.
she’s your alter-ego, a vessel to act within.
your obsessions can be ignored.
your compulsions aren’t necessary.
live a little.
don’t be such a prude.-

thank you to @thesydnify for photography:) by @anuva.j

-the wheel of fortune- an addition to the series, a manifestation of an individuals struggle to take control over their own life. looking to tarot cards and predictors of the future to offer hope, only to draw the same card over and over. is it possible to win when the deck is stacked against you? by @anuva.j

-unfinished piece + process- this piece embodies the presence of a looming entity in one’s life. whether that be religious and societal guilt or self-imposed anxieties, it’s a sense of a faceless figure that sits on one’s shoulder as an overwhelming presence. subtly trapping the figure in the foreground and rendering her weak and bare. by @anuva.j

-manifesto- i created this video and manuscript as an incoherent lament. a mess of words that illustrate the often nonsensical, and confusing thought process that I became familiar with, due to my OCD. the repeated crumpling and smoothening of the paper mimic the often futile compulsions that accompany the disorder. by @anuva.j
