’ICED TEA’ (single) ~ Joyce Wrice💖

7’’ Neon yellow vinyl and signed insert💫
Limited edition (200 copies), 2023
Label : Joyce Wrice Music - JWM7002

Side A : ICED TEA
Side B : ICED TEA instrumental

‘I just wanna let go, I solo’ 💭

I copped this vinyl last year and I was so happy, it’s just perfect !😌🧊

Joyce Wrice is one of my favorite RnB artists and I’ve been a fan for a few years now🫂 Her teaming up with Kaytranada sounds like magic every time, they simply never miss 🐐!! The beat flows just as if I were sipping fresh iced tea on a summer day🍹
It’s pure good vibes that make you want to dance along with her and just have fun🤗

To me, this track is immaculate in every kind of way, from her smooth and majestic vocals👌, to the lyrics and Kaytranada’s flawless production✨
On this song (from her 2023 EP ‘Motive’), she’s focusing on self-love, confidence, independence, fake relationships and more precisely prioritizing her peace of mind without letting haters get in her way. She’s feeling carefree, unproblematic and positive while becoming the best version of herself🔥
The music video is also amazing : a true cinematic masterpiece that reminds me of 90s & early 2000s visuals combining anime sequences to an immaculate choreo out in the rain🎥

On this cover she’s so beautiful, I also particularly love the details on the Obi strip (both in Japanese & English, a nod to her cultural heritage) with pictures of her debut album ‘Overgrown’ and her single ‘On One’ on the back🩵 The vinyl in itself is so cool and I love colored vinyls.
I personally always admire the effort & creativity Joyce and her team put in each of her releases; in a word, it’s a work of art🌼

I couldn’t miss this drop this time since I didn’t get the first one in 2021 for her debut Overgrown🦋
(note : I’m begging to have another drop for Overgrown, I absolutely NEED the blue & white splatter vinyl please !!)
